Welcome to the Hallmoosgut in St. Johann im Pongau!
Our farm lies at ca. 1000 m above sea level in a peaceful, very natural setting between St. Johann im Pongau and Wagrain, in the heart of Salzburger Sportwelt Amadé. Enjoy the views of the surrounding mountain world extending all the way out to the Hochkönig.
Our Holiday Apartments
We offer 3 holiday apartments for 2 to 6 people on the first floor of our farmhouse. The apartments are comfortably furnished and all feature their own balcony.

Winter Holidays at the Hallmoosgut
From right here at our farm, you can set out on your winter walks and reenergize amid the glistening winter countryside. Awaiting you in the neighboring town of Wagrain – just 4 km away – are numerous lifts and perfectly groomed pistes. Meanwhile, many area ski huts greet you with a delicious selection of regional specialties. We would be happy to share a few tips for your winter days spent here with us. In winter, snow chains may be required in order to drive here!

Wildlife Enclosure at the Hallmoosgut
A passion for hunting has been firmly anchored in our family for several generations. Ultimately, it was the idea of Thomas Jr. to harness his passion for this special animal species both for agricultural as well as professional purposes. So it was that, in 2019, a first section of our land at the Hallmoosgut was fenced in and transformed into a home for our dominant stag "Chef", his junior companion "Maxl" and his does, consisting of numerous adults and calves.
And you get to enjoy a direct view of this picturesque scene – for example, as you sit out on the balcony sipping quietly on a cup of coffee. And if you would like to experience the wild creatures up close, you have the opportunity to do that, too. Our animals enjoy a good bite to eat and love to be handfed pieces of bread.
