Summer Holidays in the Salzburger Sportwelt Region
Sports & Fun, Highlights for Kids and Relaxation
The Salzburger Sportwelt region, the “world of sports” as the name suggests, is home to a great number of sports activities and attractions for an unforgettable summer holiday. A hike to the summit or a country walk with the family, a challenging mountain biking tour or splashy fun in the water parks & spas “Therme Amadé” or “Wasserwelt Wagrain” - there’s something for every fancy.
Those who simply want to see what a normal day on a farm looks like, can spend an exciting time petting rabbits, feeding cows and pony riding. Peek over the farmer’s shoulder when she’s baking bread or making jam. Perhaps, she’ll give away one of her secret recipes.
In this region, there’s also enough to do on rainy days. The guest card “Salzburger Land Card” includes destinations that are worth a visit in any weather.
Winter Holidays in the Salzburger Sportwelt Region
Skiing at Its Best for the Whole Family
In winter, skiers can look forward to 760 kilometres of pistes, 270 state-of-the-art lifts and 200 rustic mountain cabins in the Salzburger Sportwelt region and “Ski Amadé”, a network of ski resorts. Beginners and families, backcountry and discerning skiers - everyone will find the ideal piste. And afterwards, you can sample local delicacies and regain your strength in one of the mountain cabins.
You’re not fond of skiing? There are still enough ways to get active in the great, white outdoors: rides in a horse-drawn sleigh, snowshoeing, tobogganing or ski touring. Relax in the spas in the region or in the cosy apartments and holiday homes on the farm. For even more tranquility and relaxation, you can rent a mountain cabin or chalet just for you set in the snow-covered landscape only or located next to the ski slope.
