About Us
Our mountain cabin is a comfortable, romantic self-catering cabin for families or groups of up to nine people. Unwind and relax while watching the cows graze on the meadow, or daydream to the sound of the rushing stream. Children will have fun splashing in the fresh spring water or going on an expedition to see what they can discover in the forest. Spend the evenings preparing the mushrooms that you gathered on the wood-burning stove, then watch a beautiful sunset on the patio.
The cabin is set in a quiet location in the Laderding Alm area with a few over the Gasteiner valley out to the Hochkönigsmassiv. Our alm cabin is the ideal starting point for hikes, which are easy enough for children. Our cozy Alm cabin is in a sunny location on the edge of the forest. We lovingly renovated the cabin in 2013, updating it while keeping the original character intact. It is completely furnished with modern-day comforts – running water in the cabin, satellite TV, photovoltaic electricity and toilets.
Before you start the journey to the hut, we meet at our farm Hoislbauerngut in Laderding 60 in 5630 Bad Hofgastein.
Together we drive to our alpine pasture located at 1548 m above sea level. The route is about 5.5 km along an unpaved forest road. The forest road has gradients of over 15% in sections.
Every user of the path uses the Laderdinger Almenweg at his own risk. The trail owner and the landlord are not liable for any damage. We expressly point out that we assume no liability for driving on the forest road.
You are welcome to purchase our homemade products at our farm. In addition to homemade bread, we offer jams and honey, syrup, liqueurs, different types of schnapps, and traditional products made from Alpine pine – pine sachets, pillows with pine shavings, and pine schnapps. We also sell homemade St. John's Wort oil, arnica tinctures, and different types of salves.
We do not have animals on the alm during the summer months.
There are cows, goats and pigs grazing during the summer.
