Welcome to Ferienbauernhof Oberhauser, located at 850 m above sea level in the picturesque Bregenzerwald.
Our lovingly built wooden house, crafted in the traditional Wälder style, is a true retreat amidst untouched nature. Here, situated on the quiet edge of the forest and directly on the cycling path, you'll find the ideal place to take a deep breath and truly arrive.
For families and children, our farm is a small paradise: While your little ones enthusiastically explore the farm with go-karts or pedal tractors and get to know our animals, you can enjoy the soothing tranquility and power of nature. In just a five-minute walk, you can reach the refreshing outdoor swimming pool, and the varied hiking trails of our certified hiking village invite you to discover the region with all your senses. With the free Bregenzerwald Guest Card, you'll also experience numerous benefits and attractions in the area!
Immerse yourself in authentic country life and become part of our farm community – if you wish, you are welcome to help with the daily chores. Taste our farm-fresh products: fresh hay milk, eggs, aromatic mountain cheese, and homemade butter directly from the farm.

Winter Wonderland at Oberhauser Holiday Farm
Experience the magical winter season at Oberhauser Holiday Farm in Schoppernau, nestled in the picturesque Bregenzerwald. At 850 m above sea level, surrounded by untouched nature and directly on the edge of the forest, you and your family will find an idyllic retreat for unforgettable winter days.
Especially for our younger guests, the farm is a true winter paradise! Extensive areas around the house await them to build snow caves, enthusiastically go sledding, and explore the pristine snowy landscape. Here, children can still experience true winter freedom, while you enjoy the soothing tranquility.
For active holidaymakers, the region offers diverse opportunities: The cross-country ski trail leads directly past our farm – ideal for enthusiastic cross-country skiers. Perfectly groomed winter hiking trails invite you to extended walks through the glittering snowy landscape. As part of a certified hiking village, we guarantee you a first-class network of trails for every taste and age.
The family-friendly Diedamskopf ski area, with its modern gondola lift and natural snow slopes, is only ten minutes away by car. We also participate in the popular “Kinderschnee” (Children's Snow) program, allowing the little ones a playful introduction to winter sports. After an eventful day, our ski room and ski boot dryer ensure maximum comfort.
Immerse yourself in the authentic farm experience: In our barn during the winter months, our cows, pigs, goats, calves, chickens, ducks, and cats are waiting to be visited and petted by you and your children. Directly from our farm, you can also get fresh hay milk from our cows, eggs from happy chickens, as well as delicious mountain cheese and homemade butter from the dairy.

The public transport bus service will take you comfortably and stress-free to Au-Schoppernau. Every hour buses depart from the main train stations in Dornbirn and Bregenz to the beautiful Bregenz Forest. From railway station Dornbirn take line 40. From railway station Bregenz take line 35, then change in Bezau to line 40.
