About Us
Sound of Nature: Birds are chirping, the leaves on the treetops are rustling, the wind is sighing, the stream is burbling - these are the sounds of nature. At our place, the whole family can calm down, energise, regain some strength, explore the wilderness or watch our peaceful alpacas. We’ve deliberately chosen not to offer a conventional playground. After all, there’s so much to discover already! Our neat mountain farm is a wide and open children’s space that invites kids to experiment, explore and learn. Everything’s possible, nothing’s imperative! Children can collect their egg for breakfast from the henhouse or help us at work with our animals, in the herb garden or in the vegetable field. You can also take a swim in the heated pool, relax in the sauna with a view, release body tension with the help of our infrared sauna or set out on a cycling tour on our two modern e-bikes. Find a range of diverse summer and winter activities on the mountain Salzstiegl. The reservoir “Packer Stausee” is home to a set of water sports activities. The summer toboggan run “Steirarodel” and the Lipizzan stud Piber are nearby. It won’t get boring here!
About Us
The Chalet “Sound of Nature” is your very private oasis of relaxation and your retreat in nature. Particularly when it’s stormy and snowing outside, our guests can look forward to a cosy ambience in our chalet. Wooden interiors make for a feeling of warmth and comfort. Floor-to-ceiling windows evoke sensations of freedom and space. They allow you to get cosy inside, all while watching our alpacas or count the stars of the Milky Way at night. Now’s the time: Our sauna is a welcome change or a regenerative hideaway after a fun-filled day out skiing. The ski resort and toboggan run Salzstiegl is only 15 minutes from our place. It has a lot on offer. Since our mountain farm is set on the sunny side of the hill, you can look forward to plenty of sunshine in winter. And even if a rainstorm is cleaning the air, there won’t be a dull moment inside. A set of board games is waiting for keen players.
We’ve been breeding alpacas with love and passion for 17 years. The peaceful inhabitants of the Andes have stolen our hearts. Not only are they intelligent, relaxed and unmistakably beautiful. They also provide us with some of the finest natural fibres that are similar to cashmere or silk. It’s absolutely natural for us to manufacture the wool of our animals and to make high-quality products either ourselves or in cooperation with partners. Set out to discover the world of alpaca wool. The exclusive blankets, cushions and accessories will pamper you. Find almost every feature in our chalet and get to know our products during your stay. Keen knitters can get alpaca wool in natural colours and with its natural luster. You will be amazed how warm, cosy and incredibly soft your new handmade knits are. All-time favourites! One of my favourite products, however, is the natural keratin soap made from alpaca fibres. The natural soap is made from the fur of our crias (alpaca babies). The mild lather leaves your skin feeling soft and nourished. The shower in the chalet comes with a piece of soap for you to try.
Our chicken were the first to move in. 3 Lakenfelder hens and 1 rooster provide us with fresh eggs. You’re welcome to observe our chicken and collect an egg for breakfast yourself.
As a next step, some of our alpacas will move here from the Ore Mountains. These peaceful and intelligent animals will steal our guests’ hearts. There’s hardly a way to come closer to alpacas than during a holiday in our chalet.
