About Us
The traditional Bischofhütten are situated in the impressive natural surroundings of Klippitztörl in the upper Lavanttal in Kärnten. Just 12 km from the small town of Bad St. Leonhard, romantic log cabins were built at an altitude of 1600 m on one of the most beautiful spots in the Lavanttal mountain landscape - making every holiday there a real experience.
Whether summer or winter, with a partner, the whole family or friends, the alpine cabin world at Klippitztörl is always at its most beautiful. Those who would like to get away from the bustle and noise of everyday life and enjoy a few peaceful days off will find just what they are looking for here.
Reinvigorate all your senses in this car-free zone on an alpine pasture, where nature is still largely untouched and the healthy mountain air and clear water will refresh both mind and body. Here you can enjoy the unique landscape, find almost no end of hiking opportunities and everything else that makes up life on an alpine pasture. Horses and young oxen included.
About Us
You can go straight from the cabin to the ski lift. On your final descent, simply ski back to the cabin. A snowshoe tour also goes past the cabin. In addition, the surrounding area is perfect for winter hiking.
Milleniumshütte: From the sauna to the ski slopes
The Millenniumshütte cabin is situated at the edge of the Klippitztorl ski slopes. You can ski right from the cabin to the lift. Then, after the last run, you can ski back to the cabin. After skiing, a sauna is just the thing, then out into the fresh snow. There are also snowshoe tours available and you can also go for gentle winter walks on the mountain. In the serviced cabins in the surrounding area you can fortify yourself. Enjoy the sun on the terraces and relax.
Panoramahütte: Right at the slopes.
The panoramic cabin is located on the edge of the Klippitztörl slopes. You can go on skis to the ski lift and ski back down to the cabin on the last descent. Snowshoe tours are also available in the area. The cabin is even suitable for sunbathing, as it is in a sunny location with a beautiful view.
Schwammerlhütte: The cabin is located on the edge of the piste
You can go on skis to the ski lift and ski back down to the cabin on the last descent! From the piste to the sauna, preventing muscle cramps. Next to the tiled stove you might fancy a mulled wine or two. Going for walks and tobogganing also possible directly from the cabin. There are several marked routes for snowshoeing on the Klippitztörl, one of which passes close to the cabin.
Our cows and calves spend the summer on the alpine pasture. Come and visit our three horses too (Mohrle, Rambo and Star). There is also a horse riding afternoon for the children at Dreien. There is all sorts of wildlife around - have fun spotting them!
Plus a glass of mare's milk, salami and a schnapps to wash it down.
On the farm alpine meadow, horses, cows, and calves are essentially your neighbors during the summer.
