Our Zirbenhütte is an old, lovingly renovated alpine hut situated in a sunny, quiet location in the heart of the Nockberge mountains, at 1,750m above sea level. As soon as you open the cabin door, you will notice the soothing scent of stone pine wood.

Stone pine wood is well known for its health-promoting effects and its ability to lower the heart rate. This makes it the ideal place for a relaxed, restorative alpine getaway.

Surrounded by blooming alpine meadows, you can enjoy a unique panoramic view of the mountains of the Ankogel Group, including its highest peak, the Hochalmspitze (3,360m), also known as the "Queen of the Tauern".

The Zirbenhütte is the ideal starting point for numerous hikes in the gentle Nockberge mountains, such as the Langenock, the Stileck, the Rabenkofel... and for those who are particularly fit, even up to the Plattennock or the Rosennock (2,440m). Your only companions along the way will be cattle, deer, and marmots.
