Adambauerhütte

Our Adambauerhütte is a lovingly renovated alpine hut located in a sunny, quiet, and dreamlike setting in the middle of the beautiful Nockberge mountains at an altitude of 1,750 meters.

If you are looking for peace and idyll, or simply want to let your soul dangle in the fresh mountain air, then the Adambauerhütte is just the right place for you.

Surrounded by blooming alpine meadows, you can enjoy a unique panoramic view of the mountains of the Ankogel Group with the unforgettable sunset over the glacier, the Hochalmspitze (3,360m), also known as the "Queen of the Tauern".

The Adambauerhütte is the ideal starting point for numerous hikes in the gentle Nockberge mountains, such as the Langenock, the Stileck, the Rabenkofel... and for the particularly fit, even up to the Plattennock and the Rosennock (2,440m).

During a drive along the 34-kilometer-long Nockalm Road, which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and varied alpine roads, you will enjoy the true beauty of Carinthia and enrich your knowledge at the numerous free exhibitions.

When visiting the Hohe Tauern National Park, by far the largest nature reserve in the entire Alpine region, you will experience, for example, the Kölnbrein Dam at 1,900m above sea level – the highest dam wall in Austria and one of the largest reservoirs in Europe, featuring the unique highlight, the "AIRWalk".
