About Us
You’ll find our small organic farm “Viertl” in an idyllic setting nestled in the rolling hills of the Mühlviertel region, at the foot of the castle ruins of Prandegg. Biodiversity and sustainability are our top priorities. For 25 years, our farm has been meeting organic farming standards. We put great emphasis on respecting nature.
Enjoy a relaxing holiday surrounded by meadows, fields and forests, far away from traffic noise and bustling streets!
Our farm is the ideal accommodation for all those who want to set out and explore the great outdoors: pilgrims on the “Way of St John” (“Johannesweg”), hikers on the “Castle Trail” (“Burgen- und Schlösserweg”) and mountain bikers.
Our apartments are particularly well suited for families with kids, grandparents with their grandchildren, groups of friends, hikers and simply for those who love nature.

- Our two bunnies and Rosa, our cat, are looking forward to a bit of tender loving care.
- You’re welcome to help bring in the hay, collect the eggs or take care of the rabbits and chicken, if you like.

ATTRACTIONS NEARBY:
- The castle ruins of Prandegg and the adjacent tavern are a 20 minutes’ walk from our farm.
- The “Way of St John” (“Johannesweg”), a pilgrimage route, is only 500 m from our farm. We are happy to welcome pilgrims.
- The mountain biking trail “Tour de Alm” runs past our house.
- The public pool in Schönau im Mühlkreis, the lake for swimming in Tragwein and the Waldaist river are great spots for a refreshing dip. They are within a short drive.
- Country walkers can walk to the speed toboggan run “Stoaninger Alm” in Schönau im Mühlkreis. It’s within a short drive.
- Other great destinations for day trips in our region: the wetlands of Tannermoor with lake Rubenerteich, the outdoor sport climbing area “Mönchstein”, the castle ruins of Ruttenstein and Reichenstein, Tannbach Castle, the lookout point “Susi Wallner Warte”, the mountain Braunberg, the water park in Pregarten, the brewery in Freistadt, ...

About Us
Our organic farm “Viertl” is set at an altitude of 650 m in the rolling countryside of the Mühlviertel region. In winter, you can look forward to enough snow. Toboggan or sleigh rides, snowshoeing, building snow castles and snowmen, having fun in the snow... all of this next to the front door!

- several small, family-friendly ski resorts within half an hour’s drive
- ice skating indoors in Tragwein
- Enjoy the heat and relax in the thermal bath with sauna in Bad Zell.
- Soon, you’ll also be able to relax in a private sauna on the farm.

After a fun-filled day out in the snow, you can enjoy the evening in your cosy apartment or in the living room. Sip a cup of hot chocolate or hot punch and take in the beautiful view of the snow-covered landscape and the castle ruins of Prandegg.
