About Us
Holidays on our child-friendly farm - where children are still allowed to be children
Our farm is set in the Innviertel region, on the edge of the magical moorlands Ibmer Moor in the municipality of Franking am Holzöstersee, to be more precise. Our farm is located near the moorland lakes Holzöstersee and Höllerersee.
Our organic farm Pimperlhof is set at an altitude of 455 m. Families with children reign here. The more laughter of children we hear, the better!
No matter if you’re old or young - fun is at home on our farm! E.g. tractor safari at sunset, adventure stream, hayloft, baking workshop for kids, disco for the little ones, dwarf cinema, angel landing spot, petting zoo, ...
For our guests’ children, it’s a very special experience to see the cows graze on the pasture, watch them being milked in the evening, pet the small four-pawed friends, feed them and play with them.
We’ve got a special highlight for food lovers: large pots with different types of herbs which you can use for free to finish off your dishes.
Find relaxation in the soothing mud bath, walk along the stream or wade through the refreshing water. Or simply unwind in a lounger, read a good book and watch your children play to their heart’s content.
Countless hiking trails in and around the moorlands leave nothing to be desired. Those of you who’d like to get even more familiar with our region can give it a try at the “farmer’s golf trail”. In total, the trail is 14 km and comprises a variety of holes. There are also interesting museums for all ages. Activities in the close surroundings comprise swimming in one of the 3 lakes nearby or at the many public outdoor pools.
Sports and outdoor enthusiasts can discover beautiful spots and take in panoramic views on cycle paths and running routes.
This amount of activities will make you hungry. On our farm, you’re welcome to light a campfire or have a barbecue. Alternatively, the staff in the nearby restaurants will spoil you with culinary delights!

Autumn starts with the fruit harvest. We produce fruit spirit from some of the fruit. The smell of dried apples often hangs in the air. Mmmmmh yummy!
Children’s eyes begin to sparkle when they see St Nicolas with his companions knock on the door! When we bake biscuits and the traditional “Kletzenbrot”, a pastry with dried fruit, it’s Christmas time. We also make Christmas decorations and an Advent wreath ourselves. On the 3rd weekend of December, you can visit the lovely Christmas market at Lake Holzöstersee. There are many other picturesque Christmas markets in our surroundings (on the castle in Burghausen, in Hochburg, in the old sawmill, ...).
If the weather permits, you can go ice skating or curling on Lake Holzöstersee or simply take a walk across the frozen moorland lake. When there’s enough snow, we slide down the hillside next to our house in large sacks or organise a snowman building competition. A winter without skiing and a big hustle can also be great fun!
You might want to spend a more peaceful New Year’s Eve on our farm - including the fireworks and the casting of tin but without the large crowds. However, you can go and party in Salzburg or Burghausen which is nearby.
This amount of activities will make you hungry. In the nearby restaurants, you can savour culinary delights!

Monastic handicrafts (an old tradition) and small souvenirs from our region can be purchased on our farm.
Animals
Wake up to a “moo”... Our farm is home to Bibi Blocksberg, Lillifee, Hoppala and many other charming friends. Who is it? Our dairy cows!

Petzi, the voracious goat
Gustav, our male duck with his two ladies Fanny and Trude

20 hens with colourful feathers that lay the eggs
