Welcome to Lohnerhof, a traditional four-sided farm, run by the third generation. Find us in a quiet setting between the towns of Wallern an der Trattnach and Bad Schallerbach in the Hausruckviertel region in Upper Austria.
Upon arrival, you’ll be embraced by the expanse of blooming meadows and old fruit trees. The surrounding fields covered with wheat, corn, or soybeansset the rhythm of rural life .

Animals
At Lohnerhof, our five chickens Henriette, Arietti, Luna, Paula, and Emilia have found a peaceful home here. In addition, the farm provides a valuable habitat for many wild animals such as pheasants, deer, hares, and various native bird species.
The natural surroundings allow you to observe these animals in their habitat and experience untouched nature right at your doorstep.

At our farm Lohnerhof, we take sustainability seriously. We take measures that we’re convinced of, with common sense and reliability. We save resources, choose local suppliers and pay attention to detail:

Farming in harmony with nature – because we’re convinced of it
We take part in the Austrian programme for environmentally-friendly agriculture (ÖPUL). As such, we take a number of measures fostering biodiversity (“UBB”) including officially designated biodiversity areas according to EU guidelines. Our traditions orchards have been maintained for generations to preserve natural habitats for animals & plants. On our arable land, we consistently use the three-field system which protects the soil and maintains soil fertility.
You can hear the birds chirping. A fawn was recently born.
Our meadows are a refuge for wildlife – close to nature, quiet & protected.
We harvest our fruit (e.g. apples, pears, cherries, plums) ourselves and turn it into juice, cider, cakes & jam for personal use.
