Ascherhof is located in a quiet, sunny spot, surrounded by untouched nature and offering impressive views of the Zillertal mountains. Despite its idyllic seclusion, the distance to the village center is only 2.4 km, ensuring all village amenities remain easily accessible.
In winter, the region offers a diverse range of leisure activities. A nearby cross-country ski trail between Landl and Bayrischzell invites you to go cross-country skiing, the surrounding toboggan runs provide fun and variety, and several ski resorts in the area – including Wilder Kaiser, Sudelfeld, or Thiersee – offer optimal conditions for winter sports enthusiasts. Winter hiking trails, numerous ski tours, and snowshoe trails open up diverse possibilities for sporty and nature-oriented experiences. For variety beyond the snow, an ice skating rink and a nearby thermal spa are available.
Ascherhof is home to a variety of animals such as chickens, goats, ducks, and cows, which contribute to the authentic character of the farm. The large garden invites you to relax and offers plenty of space to enjoy the peace and nature.

Located in Thiersee at an altitude of 1400m above sea level, you'll find the Ascherjochalm. It was built in 1826, and in 2020, the alpine hut with its cheese dairy was newly constructed. From June to September, around 20 cows spend their summer vacation on the alpine pasture. Over 20,000 liters of organic hay milk are processed into fine organic alpine cheese every year during the alpine pasture season. Only milk from our own production is used. The cows spend the summer on the alpine pasture where they can enjoy fresh alpine herbs and grasses. In cheese production, modern technology is combined with time-tested tradition. This makes our organic alpine cheese so unique. Our cows are fed fresh grass and hay all year round, which is why they produce the particularly popular hay milk. When they are not exploring, they rest in the free-stall barn on the alpine pasture or in the valley. Would you like to taste our homemade cheese? Our farm is home to 18 dairy cows and just as many calves. From June to September, they all enjoy their summer retreat on our alpine pastures. Dogs and cats stay on the farm all year round. Life is a pony farm for our horses; they are a pampering program for our souls. We treat our animals with respect. They have plenty of space in the pastures and their runs, and enjoy the best organic feed.
Everything we offer is authentic and genuine, with full respect for our values and nature.

By car
Take the Inntalautobahn A12 until the Kufstein Nord exit and pay attention to the vignette. At the roundabout after the exit, follow the signs towards Kufstein, then cross the Inn bridge. After approximately 1 km, turn right onto Thierseestraße towards Thiersee. Continue on the main road to Vorderthiersee for about 6km. Before the Raiffeisenbank in Vorderthiersee, turn right towards Landl, Bayrischzell. Follow the road to Ascherdorf - there you will find the driveway on the right with the street sign Ascherdorf 11-13. Follow the driveway until you are directly in front of the farm.
The driving time from Kufstein to Thiersee is approximately 10-15 minutes
By public transport
Travel by train to Kufstein station or continue from the station by bus. Bus line 4046 goes to Thiersee, including Ascherdorf Landl. The target stop would be Ascherdorf, from where it's a short walk of approximately 10 minutes. Please let us know, we are also happy to pick you up from the bus stop.
Alternatively, there is also a shared taxi service to Thiersee (ATS Thiersee) - with advance booking, you can be brought directly to us from Kufstein.
