Welcome to Ausblickhof in Egg – Farm Holidays in the Heart of the Bregenzerwald
At Ausblickhof, nature, tranquillity and authentic farm life come together to create a truly special holiday experience. Nestled in the gentle cultural landscape of the Bregenzerwald, our certified baby and children’s farm is a place to arrive, breathe deeply and enjoy – for families, couples and friends alike.
Here, everyday life is allowed to pause. Children discover the farm through play, experience animals up close and find plenty of space to explore and marvel. Adults enjoy the sense of openness, the mountain views and the comforting simplicity of an authentic working farm. Everything is there – nothing is required.
Experience Real Farm Life
Our animals shape the rhythm of each day: cows, calves, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, ducks, our farm dog Berni and our cat Lara are all part of everyday life here. Watching, petting, helping out or simply observing – farming becomes tangible and genuine. From September to May the animals are at the farm; in summer they spend their alpine season on the nearby Lindach alpine pasture.
Nature & Mountains Right Outside the Door
Meadows, forests and mountains begin directly at the farm. Whether you prefer gentle walks, hiking, cycling or simply enjoying the peace and quiet – the Bregenzerwald offers nature at its very best. With the Bregenzerwald & Großes Walsertal Guest Card (May–October), guests also enjoy free use of cable cars, outdoor swimming pools and public transport throughout the region.
Space for Children – Relaxation for Adults
Our spacious green playground invites children to climb, swing, slide and explore. A sandpit, play tower, trampoline, ride-on vehicles and plenty of room to simply be a child ensure happy days. Comfortable seating and loungers nearby offer the perfect place to sit back and watch.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, our lovingly designed indoor playroom “Mäuseloch” provides space for playing, crafting and spending time together.

Depending on availability, our farm fridge offers homemade products such as drinking yoghurt, eggs, cheese, milk, jams and spreads – honest, regional and with the reassuring feeling of knowing exactly where it comes from. Welcome to the Ausblickhof in Egg, nestled in the gentle winter landscape of the Bregenzerwald. As a certified baby and children’s farm, our home is a place for families, couples, and friends who wish to enjoy their winter holiday consciously – with time for one another, closeness to nature, and genuine hospitality.
After relaxed days on the family-friendly ski slopes of the Bregenzerwald, you return to a quiet, personal atmosphere. While the day slowly comes to an end outside, children experience our animals up close in the barn, lend a hand, or playfully discover everyday farm life. Couples and friends enjoy the silence, the views, and the special atmosphere of a traditional farm. Indoors, the cozy playroom “Mäuseloch” invites guests to play, craft, or spend relaxed moments together – warm, intimate, and free from rush.
Around the farm, small winter joys arise naturally: sledding, short walks in the fresh air, or simply enjoying the clear mountain atmosphere. A special highlight for families is the Kinderschnee program (fixed dates in January & March), offering children a gentle and playful introduction to skiing – relaxed and well organized.
Winter at the Ausblickhof uniquely combines skiing and the calm of farm life. It is a holiday that becomes not louder, but more meaningful – shaped by quality, authenticity, and conscious time together that stays in your memory.

At the Ausblickhof, sustainability is not just a buzzword – it is part of our everyday life. The wood used for the façade and roof structure comes from our own forest, harvested responsibly and processed regionally. The large table and the cozy corner bench in the farmhouse kitchen were crafted from our own oak, reflecting true craftsmanship and a deep connection to nature.
All construction and craftsmanship were carried out by experienced local companies from the Bregenzerwald – ensuring short transport routes, outstanding quality, and traditional know-how.
Our photovoltaic system generates environmentally friendly electricity and, during the summer months, also supports hot water production. The farm is heated with an efficient log wood heating system. From spring/summer onwards, a wallbox for electric vehicles will also be available for our guests.
In this way, we combine tradition and future – for a sustainable farm holiday with a truly good feeling.

Arrival
Take the A14 motorway and exit at Dornbirn Nord. At the roundabout, take the second exit in the direction of Bregenzerwald (L200). The L200 takes you through the Achrain tunnel into the Bregenzerwald. Drive through the municipalities of Alberschwende and Müselbach in the direction of Egg. At the entrance to Egg there is a BP petrol station on the right-hand side of the L200. From there, stay on the L200 for another 350 metres. At the Fetz shoe shop (left-hand side of the road), turn slightly left towards Klebern. Follow the road until it splits (after approx. 1km). Turn left (Parzelle Rain) and follow the road for another 1.5 kilometres. Turn right towards Ebenwald. After 350m you will find our farm on the left-hand side.
