Away from everyday life - with our faithful companion

A break from everyday stress is exactly what we need, but of course not without our dog. We long for a weekend full of peace and relaxation, far away from hotels full of people and noise. And what could be better than hiking in nature?

Our goal: Our own alpine hut in Salzburger Land

The solution? An alpine hut all to ourselves.

So that we could keep the journey a little shorter, we chose Salzburgerland. We quickly found our destination on the "Farm holidays" website: the Hauserlhütte in Riedingtal, an idyllic and secluded hut, ideal for up to 10 people. Our dog Kody was of course also very welcome.

The experience of self-sufficiency

It was our first time in a self-catering hut. Fortunately, there was a detailed list on the internet of what to expect in the hut.

Warm welcome and first adventures

Our host Corinna welcomed us in Zederhaus and took us to the hut, where we were given a brief introduction and valuable hiking tips. Kody immediately loved the large meadow in front of the hut and also felt at home in the hut. After an initial exploration tour of the Schlierersee lake, we returned to the hut where we fired up the wood-burning stove - perfect for Kody to warm up after playing in the water.

Hiking and enjoyment

After a hearty breakfast, we made our way to the Franz Fischer Hut. The beautiful mountain trail, lined with streams and lakes, was ideal for our dog Kody. Impressed by the fantastic view, we extended our hike to a circular route, which finally led us to the Gasthof Schliereralm after six hours, where we fortified ourselves with a delicious Wienerschnitzel.

Conclusion: looking forward to the next visit

We are delighted with our short vacation in the Almhütte. We were immediately captivated by the alpine flair, especially with a dog this type of vacation is simply practical and uncomplicated. We are already looking forward to our next stay at the Alm.
