About Us
Our vineyard is a family-run business in the small wine town of Schrattenthal. We, the winegrowers (Franz and Karen), live on the winery with our children Franzi and Helene. Our vineyards span 10 hectares. The white and red grapes flourish on the slopes of the Manhart and Kalvarienberg mountains. We maintain the essence of our traditional fruity wines thanks to the soil (primitive rocks and loess), air and water, by tending the vines, grapes and earth, as well as using a traditional and mild processing method combined with modern cellar technology. Experience and enjoy an excursion - or indeed a weekend or holiday - at the vineyard, where 2 comfortably furnished guest rooms are available. Our idyllic and cosy Wine Quarter courtyard is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some great wine. You have the chance to visit our traditional cellar full of wooden barrels as well as the modern wine press house. And of course sample our wines and other interesting grape-based delicacies. Sports enthusiasts will love the numerous cycling, hiking and walking trails. And on days when the sun doesn't shine, the tourist attractions in the surrounding area are well worth a visit.
