Nestled in the magnificent mountains of the Gastein Valley at 1,000 meters above sea level, our lovingly organically run Waldhof farm is a place where nature, relaxation, and rural joie de vivre come together. With us, you'll experience a true farm holiday, far from the stresses of everyday life, surrounded by greenery, yet just minutes from the lively village center.
Our family-friendly farm offers not only two cozy holiday apartments with views of the imposing Hohe Tauern mountains, but also authentic insights into farm life. Whether feeding the animals, enjoying a fresh breakfast egg from the chicken coop, or taking a leisurely hike right from the front door – every day is an experience here.
Children can romp around on the playground, pet rabbits, or take a peek into the stables – while adults enjoy the peace and quiet of the fresh mountain air. In winter, the Schlossalm ski area is right on your doorstep, while in summer, thermal baths, alpine huts, and countless hiking trails beckon. Gastein's two thermal baths and the Gastein Healing Gallery are also not far from the Waldhof and can be reached in no time.
Our two holiday apartments can be booked for two to six people and offer two to three bedrooms, each with a shower and toilet, a fully equipped kitchen-living room, and a private balcony. Plenty of space for an unforgettable, relaxing holiday in Gastein.

Our location is a dream in winter – you can strap on your skis in front of the farm and immediately reach the valley run to the valley station of the Schlossalmbahn cable car. From there, the state-of-the-art lifts take you up the mountain and down the perfectly groomed slopes. We have a ski storage room with boot dryers for your ski equipment, and even for non-skiers, Gastein offers many winter sports activities, such as cross-country skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and much more. Your children can really let off steam on the snow-covered meadow in front of the house, and the town center of Bad Hofgastein and the Alpentherme Gastein spa are only two kilometers away.

The Waldhof farm is organically managed and is a grassland farm with heifer rearing and suckler cow husbandry. The farmed land is mostly on steep slopes and is accessed using appropriate mountain farming machinery.
Our farm houses approximately 35 cattle, two rabbits, two cats, ten chickens with a rooster, and our farm dog, "Waldi."
Our animals spend the winter months at home in a free-roosting stable with outdoor access. Guests are welcome to visit us there during stable hours, and we will show you how we care for our animals. Your children are welcome to help.
Our animals spend the summer on the alpine pasture. You are welcome to visit our cows in the beautiful Leidalm area and combine it with a breathtaking hike. Of course, we also have some petting animals at home during the summer, so our farm dog, "Waldi," our tomcat, "Riapi," and our two rabbits, "Bleamei" and "Hoppel," all love to be petted. You can also visit our chickens and perhaps discover a breakfast egg or two.

Euro and Intercity trains, express and fast trains stop at Bad Hofgastein station. Regular taxi and bus connections to the individual districts are available. The nearest motorail train loading point is in Bischofshofen. A taxi delivery and pickup service takes care of luggage transfers. Arriving by plane: The nearest airports are Salzburg and Munich.
