The listed estate with its historic farm buildings enjoys a wonderful secluded location, surrounded by meadows, pastures and the impressive mountain scenery of the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Here you can leave everyday life behind and find your own rhythm again. Walking barefoot through the meadow in the morning, listening to the babbling of the stream, lingering in the orchard or simply enjoying the silence – the Waldgut is a place to breathe deeply and recharge your batteries. The quiet location and the nature surrounding the farm also create wonderful conditions for yoga and conscious downtime.
The large herb garden smells of fresh herbs, our guests are welcome to harvest from the vegetable patch and the orchard offers many a delicacy to nibble on. The wood-fired oven is heated up regularly to bake bread. When the aroma of freshly baked bread wafts across the yard, the special atmosphere of this old farm becomes tangible. And on mild evenings, you can wind down your holiday in comfort with a barbecue.
Those who want to discover the mountains can start right on the doorstep. Hiking trails lead from the Waldgut up to alpine pastures and mountains, as well as to an impressive gorge. For cyclists and mountain bikers, the Rauris Valley also offers varied routes through the wonderful landscape.
In winter, the Waldgut becomes a silent natural refuge amidst the snow-covered mountains. The Rauris ski area is within easy reach, ski tourers will find attractive opportunities in the region, and snowshoeing lets you experience winter nature from its quiet side. A toboggan ride also provides variety.
For an excursion, you can reach Zell am See in about 30 minutes by car. After an active day, the thermal baths in Gastein and Kaprun invite you to enjoy soothing hours.
The Waldgut is a place of power for people who do not need to experience as much as possible, but want to enjoy their holiday consciously. A retreat with history, plenty of nature and small experiences that linger in the memory – and a place where sometimes the sound of the stream, mountain air and a meadow under your feet are completely sufficient.
