About Us

At 1,200 meters above sea level, simply unwind and let your soul drift.

Leave everyday life behind in the Waldbienenhütte at the adventure organic farm in Diex. Diex lies above the fog line and, with over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year, is a true sunny paradise.

The rustic alpine hut is located approx. 150m above the organic farm at the edge of the forest. The sensational fog-free view of the Koralpe and into the Lavant Valley is a particular highlight for our guests. Relax after a long hike or mountain bike tour in the outdoor sauna with an exclusive view. In the evening, treat yourself to a few quiet hours with a glass of honey wine in front of the fireplace. 

The sunniest town in Carinthia invites you to undertake numerous excursions and hikes through forests and across meadows. Diex has a double-towered fortified church, which is also well worth a visit. With over 100 km of marked hiking trails in a fog-free location, every tour becomes a wonderful adventure. Horse lovers will also get their money's worth – horseback riding is possible here in any season. A petting zoo with adjacent fish ponds also invites you to linger.

Access to the Waldbienenhütte is via a very steep path and is therefore not suitable for every car. To ensure your holiday starts in a relaxed way, we are happy to assist you upon arrival and, on request, will bring you comfortably and safely directly to the hut by quad bike.
