Take romantic walks through the snowy nature – our farm is located in the heart of the beautiful SalzburgerLand and is therefore the ideal place for a relaxing winter holiday.

Right next to the house, the fields invite you to go sledding with snow discs. Or how about a joyful sledge ride with the whole family from the local mountain down to the Vordersattlegghof? With a bit of luck, you might even experience it in atmospheric moonlight.

Whether playful fun in the snow, cheerful sledding or building snowmen – imagination knows no bounds! You might even feel like creating an original snow bar together with other guests or starting a little competition.

⛷️Winter fun in Ski Amadé – Austria’s largest ski paradise

Just a few minutes by car from Vordersattlegghof lies Ski amadé, one of the largest winter sports areas in Europe – with 760 perfectly groomed kilometres of slopes and 270 modern lifts.
Here, beginners, intermediate skiers and pros alike will find ideal conditions. Ski courses are offered at almost every lift station – perfect for anyone looking to improve their technique or start fresh.

Thanks to our central location, you are right in the ski area and can enjoy a different skiing adventure every day:
Whether by car to Eben – Monte Popolo (12 min), Flachau (20 min), Filzmoos (20 min), Mühlbach (30 min), St. Johann Alpendorf (30 min), or even the Planai in Schladming (35 min) – all ski resorts are easily accessible and offer the perfect downhill run for every taste.

But that’s far from all:
In addition to countless beautiful ski slopes, the cross-country ski trail invites you to enjoy sporty laps through a magnificent winter landscape.
In the hometowns of numerous world-class winter athletes, you can also experience many other winter sports up close.

Farm Products

 🥚 Our eggs come from our free-range chickens – it doesn’t get any fresher than that!
Bread, jams and juices are also homemade and prepared with lots of love.
🍦 Even various ice cream flavors are made right here on the farm, offering a delicious and natural refreshment.

🍎 And when our fruit trees are full of ripe fruits in late summer and autumn, we are happy to invite you—after a quick consultation—to pick your own apples, pears or plums. A special experience – and the taste of freshly harvested fruit is simply incomparable!

Animals

Our calves are allowed to drink from their mother and are of course also out on the pasture The chickens are responsible for the daily eggs. We go horseback riding with our horses every day. Qussant sheep (the smallest breed of sheep in the world) and rabbits as well as cats are our petting animals, especially popular with children Our dog Lea reports the arrival of new guests.

Self-catering house

Our self-catering house is ideal for holidays with family or friends.

The self-catering house is the "old farmhouse" from 1658. The house is very spacious and comfortable. Wood-burning stoves and electric heaters are available for heating. You can make your house warm and cozy just the way you like it.

The house has 5 bedrooms, a large kitchen, large farmhouse parlour, and a wash room with 2 showers and 2 WCs on the ground floor (newly renovated), 1 WC upstairs.

We charge a fee of EUR 28.00 for pets extra cleaning.

Important: The cost of electricity will be charged according to consumption at departure.

Bed linen covers and bath towels are not included in the offer price. You are welcome to add them for an additional charge of €16.00 per person, or of course you may bring your own.

Arrival

Notes on arrival:
Our farm is located about 2 km above the village centre of Hüttau – easy to reach, yet beautifully situated on the mountainside.

Please note in winter: Snow chains are strongly recommended, as you can never predict when and how much snow will fall. Especially with fresh snowfall, conditions can quickly become wintry!

By car:

Coming from Salzburg / Bischofshofen, take the Tauern Motorway (A10) and exit at Hüttau. Follow the signs towards Hüttau. At the entrance to the village, turn left onto the “Iglsbach” service road and follow it for approx. 2 km. The Vordersattlegghof is well signposted and easy to find.

By public transport:

European long-distance trains (EuroCity, InterCity) stop at the transport hub of Bischofshofen.
From there, a regional train or bus will take you to Hüttau in about 10 minutes. From the village centre of Hüttau, it is still about 2 km to our farm. If necessary, we can pick you up from the train station. Further information on travelling by train and bus can be found on the websites of ÖBB or Salzburg Verkehr.

By plane:

The nearest airport is Salzburg W. A. Mozart Airport (code: SBG).

From the airport you have the following options:
– Rental car: approx. 45 minutes driving time to our farm
– Taxi: convenient, also approx. 45 minutes
– Public transport: Take the bus to Salzburg main station, then the train to Bischofshofen and continue to Hüttau.
