About Us
Right in the heart of this picturesque village is Gasthof Unterwöger. The inn, built in 1750 and under monument protection, has maintained its original form to present day. It was painstakingly renovated by the Lugger family with much attention to detail so that contemporary holiday needs could be combined with historical flair under one roof.
The culinary offer is treasured by locals and guests alike. The love of Tyrolean fare, the freshness of the products used from our own farm, the sounds of our chamber music and the particularly eye-catching architecture and authentic atmosphere - that is the philosophy which gives the building its incomparable character.
About Us
Only one minute away is the skiing fun at home mountain Golzentipp, but there’s still more to reach within 45 minutes. 4 ski-lifts and 1 ropeway guarantee unlimited skiing fun at skiing resort Golzentipp. Obertilliach is the Mecca for cross-country skiing and biathlon in East Tyrol featuring many wonderful cross-country ski runs. Therefore it is the ideal training ground for the world’s best Nordic teams. For Ski Touring and Snowshoeing is the enviroment of the village an insider tip. An authentic evening in an alpine cabin, a snow-covered winter landscape and then down to the valley by moonlight (or equipped with a headlamp) on a toboggan…. those are the unforgettable moments of a great vacation, and we hope that you may talk about it for a long time.
Cattle, calves, pigs and lambs are raised on the farm, processed in the in-house butchery and refined in the inn kitchen. Recently, 120 laying hens also live on the farm, whose eggs are used entirely in the kitchen.
The great culinary offer is appreciated by guests and locals alike. The love for Tyrolean food, the freshness of the products used from our own farm as well as from the region of East Tyrol create a pleasurable experience.
Animals (description)
The Unterwöger Hof in Obbertilliach is home to cows, chickens and goats and of course our house dog "Gustl".
We also have another farm here in the village, where we keep only bio-sheeps.
In addition, we offer a guided tour of the barns - please arrange a date at the reception desk.
