About Us
We will welcome you with open arms should you wish to spend your well-deserved holidays on our peaceful non-smoker farmyard, located in a sunny situation.
Our farm is situated in the pretty world cup village Flachau in the Reitdorf suburb, surrounded by splendid mountain scenery. Our farm can be recommended for a family summer holiday, for a hiking or cycling holiday, or for winter sport in the centre of the Ski Amadé in the Salzburg countryside!
For us, the meaning of holiday is to feel free and to escape from everyday life. To experience adventure and recreation, to switch off and discover yourself again - holidays throughout the year in an uncoerced and genuinely rural atmosphere! As NON-SMOKER FARM we ask our guests kindly not to smoke in the house!
The farm Unterbaumgarten is a traditionally managed farm, having been in the ownership of the family Oberauer for a hundred years. Our farmyard is situated among green, or, in winter, white snow-covered meadows, in a tranquil setting in Flachau, in the suburb of Reitdorf. On our farm we operate an organic cattle-rearing and dairy husbandry, following the natural cycles of Nature. We are a small farm with a familial atmosphere!
SUMMER ON THE FARM
Throughout summer there is always something happening on our farm. Because we have our animals on the farm all year round, the guests can experience what country life is like. Children enjoy being able to get rid of bottled-up energy on a farm. On our farm there are cows, calves, a horse and a pony, sheep, chickens, rabbits, and, besides, our farm dog "Nora"! Of course, there are lots of cats, which are always craving to be stroked. But above all else, a ride on our Haflinger horse "Laura" and our pony "Pauli" is a super experience for everyone, big and small.
Summer holiday in Flachau
A summer holiday in the magnificent alpine world of the Salzburger countryside imeans an intimate encounter with Nature, adrenalin sport and a memorable experience for the whole family. Reitdorf means to connect yourself to Nature, whether it be through horse riding, cycling along the Enns Cycle Trail, Nordic walking, hiking across the green meadows, or jumping into a swimming lake of drinking water quality. A children's programme with lots of fun and action is also offered in Flachau.
The ideal height level of Flachau as well as the well signposted trails with overnighting huts provide an optimal basis for hiking across the mountain meadowlands in relative comfort (...do visit the Frauenalm...) or even for more demanding mountain hiking trips. You can, of course, also get to know the countryside around Flachau on a mountain bike. Flachau is also a good destination for your hiking holiday in the autumn - and you certainly shoudn't miss out on a visit to the numerous farmers' autumn events!
HORSERIDING FOR FREE
Riding on our two horses Laura and Pauli! Of course, we also have our riding coach Anna, who will actively involve herself with you regarding riding and the handling of horses! Should you wish to GRILL in the evening, our brick-built grill is at your disposal. Should you visit us during summer, you can help us with the hay harvest if you feel like it!
TAKING PART IN THE FARM WORK
You are most welcome to participate in the work activities on the farm. We invite you to get your hands dirty if you would like to. Our guest children especially delight in clearing out dung from the rabbit stable or to take a ride on the back of our pony Pauli. Cows and calves graze on our meadows, and our Pauli and our Haflinger horse Laura are looking forward to take you on riding trips! Our cats sun themselves on the couch and are waiting for you to stroke them. Our guest children learn how to interact with the animals in a playful way.

About Us
Welcome to us at the Unterbaumgarten!
We are located in the middle of the Salzburg Sport World, more precisely in Flachau. Flachau belongs to Snow Space Salzburg and the skiing association "Ski Amadé". Snow Space Salzburg with over 210 kilometers of slopes is one of the most diverse ski areas in Europe.
Directly in front of our farm is a ski bus stop. The bus will take you to the nearest ski lift in 5 minutes. For the ski beginners the drag lift at the Reitecksee is very suitable.
Not only for skiers our region offers a wide program but also for cross-country skiers or winter hikers. Directly from the farm you can enter the extensive cross-country ski trail and enjoy the surrounding mountain panorama.
Due to our central location on a small hill you can reach the next supermarket, many restaurants or the Therme Amadè in just a few minutes by car.
