Fresh milk and Brotchen (crusty rolls) are available upon request. We have our own alm, which you are welcome to visit with your host. When staying with us between May and October you will receive the Lungau Card at no additional cost. This card will give you free access and discounts, including free use of the local mountain trains and free entry to the public pools. Hiking trails will take you through gentle valleys, up into the fascinating mountain environment, past mountain creeks and crystal-clear lakes, all the way up to the summit. Beautiful lakes and ancient alm cabins are some of the sights you will enjoy.A well-designed network of biking and hiking trails, including the Murradweg, will take you on a meandering path along meadows and forests. You may also hike our ski resorts during the summer. Or, instead of hiking, relax and take the cable car up to the Fanningberg, the Speiereck, or to the Obertauern. The newly built wellness center "Samsunn", located in Mariapfarr, includes a comfortable sauna area with an outdoor swimming pool. This is just a small sample of the many activities available during a summer vacation in Lungau.

A romantic, birch-lined avenue covered in deep snow leads from our village of Althofen directly into Mariapfarr. During the winter you will have the opportunity to experience and enjoy many additional activities such as sledding, ice-skating, horseback riding in the snow, carriage rides, snowshoeing and guided tours. Directions by train: Munich – Salzburg –Bishofshofen to Radstadt, or from Vienna through Selztal to Schladming. We will pick you up from the train station.
Salzburger Lungau Region
Pack your hiking boots - all the villages here are located at an altitude of 1,000+ metres. Explore the summits, alpine pastures and mountain cabins in the valleys Riedingtal and Weißpriachtal and in the Schladming Tauern. In the three family-friendly ski resorts, you can spend a great winter’s day outdoors. Learn how to grow and harvest potatoes. The famous “Eachtling”, as they are called here, are a local delicacy.
