A mindful approach to nature and resources
At FerienZeit Zettler, we live and work in the heart of a beautiful natural and cultural landscape. That is why it is important to us to use resources thoughtfully in our daily operations and to preserve and develop our accommodation for the long term.
Our own photovoltaic system generates electricity directly on site. In addition, we use a wood-chip heating system powered by regional biomass. The management and care of our neighbouring woodland is also important to us. Wood is a valuable, renewable resource, and we aim to use it carefully and responsibly.
Wood also plays an important role in the furniture and interior design of our accommodation. It creates a warm and cosy atmosphere and fits perfectly with our houses and their surroundings. At the same time, we try to preserve what is already there for as long as possible. Wherever possible, furnishings and equipment are repaired and reused instead of being replaced too quickly.
In our day-to-day operations, we also take care to use resources thoughtfully. We use selected cleaning products, separate our waste and pay attention to the responsible use of water, electricity and heating. Our own spring water is something very special, which is why we place great value on treating it with care.
Regional partnerships are equally important to us. Whenever possible, we work with local businesses and partners for craftwork, repairs, renovations and investments. This helps keep contracts within the region and allows many services to be carried out locally and over short distances.
Our guests can enjoy forests, meadows, mountains and nature right outside the door. This close-to-nature setting is a true gem. We are always happy to recommend hikes, walks, swimming lakes, ski areas and excursion destinations nearby. Many holiday experiences can therefore be enjoyed directly from the accommodation or reached within relatively short distances.
The meadows, forests and natural areas surrounding our accommodation provide a habitat for many animals and plants. Birds, insects and wildlife are just as much a part of this environment as forests, meadows and mountain landscapes. We would like to encourage our guests to experience this special natural setting mindfully and to treat it with respect.
As a family-run business, we think long term. We do not simply want to rent out our accommodation, but also to preserve, care for and responsibly develop the buildings, properties and special surroundings in which we live and work.
In this way, we want to offer our guests a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature. At the same time, in the areas where we can make a difference ourselves, we take care to use our resources and treat our surroundings thoughtfully and responsibly.

The former granary with an area of 52m² has been lovingly revitalized and offers an authentic and cozy vacation experience.

Kitchen (electric stove, oven, fridge with freezer, kettle, filter coffee machine, 2-slot toaster), generous crockery and kitchen equipment (incl. cleaning utensils), bed linen and towels, laundry rack, hairdryer, TV and radio
In winter the traditional stove provides cozy warmth and a comfortable place to gather.
In summer you can enjoy the beautiful natural landscape from your own terrace with direct access to the garden.
