At 450 meters above sea level, at the foot of Grünberg, lies our new Traunsee-Chalet – an exclusive retreat for all who seek comfort, nature, and an authentic farm experience. Here you will find no hectic slopes, but rather peace, expansive views, and warmth by the tiled stove, nestled in snow-covered fields and orchards with views of Lake Traunsee and the Höllengebirge with Feuerkogel.

This Advent, the atmospherically lit treetop walk on Grünberg is back – simply take the cable car up to almost 1000 m or start walking (1 hour) directly from the chalet.

Farm Products

Honest farm products from Götschhof – naturally pure by conviction

At our Götschhof, delicious products are handmade – using what our meadows, fields, and fruit trees provide. Natural, unadulterated, and always seasonal.

Fresh Milk

Our milk comes directly from our own cows – it's milked fresh daily and impresses with its full, natural taste. Our cows are fed with GMO-free feed from our own fields. This results in high-quality milk that is also valued in our dairy in Gmunden.

Homemade Cider

Our apple and pear cider is pressed exclusively from our own fruits – natural, unsprayed, and without additives. A true classic that, depending on the vintage, can be mild or strong – but always honest and fresh.

Fine Vinegar

From particularly successful cider, we patiently produce a hearty, fruity vinegar. Ideal for salads or cold dishes – a little extra with a big taste.

Schnapps with Character

When the plums or pears ripen particularly well, they become a fine schnapps. Distilled with traditional knowledge, from our own fruit – clear, fruity, and with a pleasant warmth. Just right for a cozy finish after a wonderful day of vacation.

Animals

Our Animals – Up Close and Personal

With us at Götschhof, animals are not just for looking at – they are part of everyday life and look forward to visitors, petting hands, or little helpers in the stable.

Our Cows & Calves

The farm is home to 11 dairy cows, which provide fresh, delicious milk daily. Particularly popular with our younger guests are the sweet calves, which love to be observed, petted, and fed. A few young cattle also live with us – and if you like, you are welcome to join in the milking in the modern milking parlor.

Two Pigs & Two Dwarf Rabbits

Our two domestic pigs are curious and clever – they enjoy a visit to their stable. The dwarf rabbits are tame and sometimes allow gentle petting. Perfect for little animal lovers!

Our Cats

If you approach quietly, you're sure to meet one of our farm cats – they roam the farm, enjoy the sun on warm stones, or are busy mouse hunting in the field.

A Special Spectacle: The Swallows

During the summer months, it gets lively under the roofs: Over 40 swallows' nests are located around the farm – they are reoccupied and filled with life anew every year. When the young swallows fledge, you can watch them practice their first flight attempts – a fascinating natural spectacle that delights both young and old.

Sustainability

Even more sustainability in the Premium Chalet

The chalet is built with solid wood construction, wood fiber insulation, and clay plaster, without new ground sealing,
featuring low energy consumption thanks to a heat pump, pleasant in summer, warm in winter. The old wood from the original building was reused. The cider cellar from the old stock has been preserved.

  • A Quooker in the chalet assists you as our guest with hot water preparation and sparkling water directly from the tap – you can completely forgo plastic bottles – saving resources.
  • Mostly self-sufficient electricity supply through the existing PV system – also in the other holiday apartments.
  • Hot water also comes from solar energy in summer!
  • Waste separation and biomass composting have been a matter of course for years.
  • Arrival by train and tram to our farm is a pleasure + many shuttle services and shared taxis on site.
