A Talhof holiday for our younger guests means: stroking cute kitties, feeding tame animals, guided pony rides, looking after the horses, riding in the quadrangle, tumbling about on the playground, building sandcastles, making lots of new friends, driving cool go-karts, playing table tennis, paddling in the lake, catching tiny frogs, making funny hay animals, singing funny songs, rollerskating, toasting tasty corn-on-the-cob, dancing round the huge campfire, toasting crispy dough, building big dams, cooling off in the stream, finding little treats, and much much more... A Talhof holiday for our older guests means: exploring the beautiful surroundings, taking in the idyllic scenery, going on lovely hikes, collecting delicious mushrooms, jogging through the fields, resting on a viewing bench, dozing in the hammock, treading barefoot on the cool dewy grass, a morning swim, rowing across the lake, lazing on a sun lounger, hob-nobbing with guests, making nice new friends, reading an exciting book, chatting with the farmer's family, sampling a Stamperl (glass of schnapps), drinking crisp Austrian cider, fun barbecue evenings, sing-a-longs, wading through the mountain stream, tucking into a hearty snack, and much more...

About Us
In winter, everything is particularly beautiful at the Talhof. A huge natural ice skating area awaits our guests, there is curling, walking, or you can go sledging, ice hockey - there's something for everyone. Who can build the most beautiful snowman? At New Year we hold an open-air disco with open fire and a bowl of goulash soup to warm you up. It's not far to the family ski region; a ten-minute drive to Simonhöhe. Wonderful slopes, a fun park for boarding, and also a great ski school for our younger guests. A wonderful ski hire service leaves nothing to be desired.
Walk through the romantic winter landscape in the evening and look forward to some delicious mulled spiced cider and punch with home-made biscuits, letting the winter evening draw to an end with a convivial get-together.
Farm products and catering
In summer, almost all our animals are to be found on the meadows around the farm - only a few cows remain in the barn. It's lots of fun gathering eggs in the chicken hut. Our darling little cats are very trusting and love to be stroked. The sheep and goats always look forward to a bit of dry bread and give the pigs a run for their money at the feeding trough. Our ponies and horses love nibbling on a bit of carrot, while the rabbits and guinea pigs enjoy fresh dandelion. We offer guided horse riding trips several times a week, and those who already know how to ride will have a chance to do so at our quadrangle. We also produce our own juices and jams, Reindling, schnapps and liqueurs.
Animals
Our suckler cows are on the pasture with the calves around the farm.
The pigs are always waiting for food and are on their own pasture outdoors with plenty of space.
Our ponies and horses are looking forward to a treat. The kittens are frolicking and would like to play.
The bunnies are waiting for a delicious shamrock. The goats are happy when they can make a walk on a leash.

Arrival
From Salzburg , take the A1 and drive to Villach/Lake Ossiach directly after the Oswaldiberg tunnel, drive along Lake Ossiach towards Feldkirchen. At the Nord-Ost bypass continue towards St.Veit-Vienna. The approach to St. Urban is about 6 km after Feldkirchen on the right-hand side. Continue up the mountain, and turn right just before St. Urban. You will have reached the Talhof after 2 km.
From Vienna, come off the fast road (Friesach-Klagenfurt) in St. Veit, and head through the town St. Veit towards Feldkirchen. At Liebenfels, turn right towards St. Urban /Zwattendorf after the bridge. You will reach Zwattendorf / the Talhof after approx. 5 km.
