You don't have to wake up with the chickens, nor go to bed with them. And yet, you can still experience an authentic and traditional farm with us! Feed pigs, chickens, mini ponies, rabbits, ducks, and pygmy sheep. Visit the cows on the alpine pasture, or help out with the hay harvest.
For generations, bread has been baked here on our farm, and our guests receive a loaf as a welcome gift. All of our homemade products are available in our small but lovely farm shop.

Miniature Shetland ponies, crested ducks, chickens, rabbits, pygmy sheep, cats, pigs, and cows that are not purple. Collecting your breakfast egg directly from the chicken coop and having the playground right next to the apartment - what more could a child's heart desire?
Our farm is situated at 1,070 meters above sea level, centrally located in Kaning. The holiday apartment has been lovingly restored and is located in our approx. 400-year-old annex. It has been furnished with great attention to detail and offers space for up to five people. The cozy wooden terrace invites you to relax, unwind, and simply let your mind wander.
Excursion destinations in the area: the Türkhaus (local history museum) as the starting point of the newly built Kaning "Banklweg" trail, Granatium, Sagamundo, Feld am See Alpine Wildlife Park, Langalmtal hiking paradise in the Nockberge Biosphere Park, skiing and thermal baths in Bad Kleinkirchheim, Nockalm Road, Lakes Millstätter, Brenn, and Afritz, and much more.

Winter magic...
Around the farm, we offer plenty of space for building snowmen, having snowball fights, or zooming down the hill on a bobsleigh! Sleds, snow sliders, and snowshoes are available free of charge.
A walk through the snow-covered winter landscape - pure bliss!
The Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area can be reached in approx. 20 minutes by car. Well-groomed slopes, cross-country ski trails, and a toboggan run await you there.
Once a week, we bake fresh bread. You can even collect your breakfast egg yourself from the chicken coop during the morning stable chores.
New to the farm is our "Hofkast`l" - where you can buy our own farm products (juices, egg noodles, eggs, bread, salts, and various cheese and sausage varieties from our neighbors).
Here on our farm live mother cows of the Pinzgauer and Pustertaler Sprinzen breeds with their calves, sweet cuddly lop-eared rabbits, cheeky pigs, crested ducks (often with their offspring in summer), our rooster Fridolin with his flock of chickens, cheeky pygmy sheep, cuddly mini Shetland ponies, and our cat Lotta.
The cows spend the summer with their calves on our alpine pasture, where we would be happy to visit them together. The other animals stay at home with us in the summer and look forward to being fed and petted!

Our restored holiday apartment is decorated with great attention to detail. It consists of a cozy, fully equipped solid-wood kitchen. A bedroom and the bathroom with toilet are located right next door. In the attic, there is another bedroom with a double bed, a pull-out sofa, and a TV. Our wooden terrace offers plenty of space to relax.

Coming from Germany:
Highway exit Seeboden/Millstätter See, along the B98 towards Radenthein, through the center of Radenthein. Then continue straight at the intersection (Gasthof Staberhof on the right side), past the Catholic church (left side) in Radenthein, approx. 5 kilometers to Kaning.
Once in Kaning: pass the inn and the church, keep going straight. At the first fork (approx. 500m) take the right turn, continue to the next curve. In this left-hand bend, the path on the right leads directly to our farm.
The region is one of the most diverse regions in Austria. Whether a sport, thermal bath or ski holiday, everyone will find something here.
