Since July 2018, Smiley's Adventure River Chalet, which emerged from an old road warden's house, has featured unique, luxurious amenities. These high-quality furnishings include, among other things, fossilized washbasins, themed bedrooms, organic wood-burning stoves, and a perfect blend of modern and alpine style.

The interior is rounded off by the fantastic view of the Lieser River. You are thus surrounded by pure nature and will very quickly feel particularly at home.

And should the weather ever not play along, you can simply step into Smiley's Kinderhotel just a few meters away and enjoy our romantic wellness area with massages, body treatments, and the "Alpensteil" sauna landscape, as well as the indoor pool, the children's indoor pool, the fitness room, the childcare service, the soft-play area, and all other facilities.

The special garden surrounding the Smiley River Chalet, with features such as the stone garden house with a witch's grill, the Lieser Lounge with a driftwood lounger, the bubbling stone, the stone water fountain, or your favorite spot in the orchard, invites you to linger. For those who cannot or do not want to switch off,
we have created areas of activity, such as chopping wood in the wood box, "gardening" with our garden tools, or panning for gold on the banks of the Lieser River.

Doris, the “good spirit of the house”, bakes fresh bread – and many a delicious experiment ends up on our buffet for tasting. Homemade jams and juices are available to taste or buy, honey from neighbor Herbert, bacon, ham, and sausages from farmer Heinrich.

In front of the Fluss Chalet, our sheep graze from approx. May to September; we also have an enclosure with rabbits and guinea pigs, and on the meadow slightly above, our donkeys frolic.

From Munich: via Salzburg along the Tauern Autobahn (A10), – exit Gmünd (2nd exit after the Katschberg Tunnel) 1st roundabout, 2nd exit, 2nd roundabout, 3rd exit towards Spittal/Drau, follow this road for 3 km through the village of Trebesing, past the first children's hotel, 2 km – and you have reached your holiday destination.

From Vienna: via the Südautobahn (A2), from the Villach junction towards Salzburg, exit Seeboden, right over the bridge, right towards Gmünd, follow this road for 5 km, and you have reached your holiday destination.
