Take a break

Take some time out

The perfect holiday for anyone seeking peace and quiet. Enjoy the tranquility of an absolutely secluded location surrounded by magnificent nature.

About Us

Our former alpine dairy hut has been renovated by us with great attention to detail and now awaits you as a romantic gem in the Carinthian Nockberge mountains. Here you will find absolute peace and the ideal retreat to escape everyday life and experience an unforgettable break in the midst of beautiful nature. The region's extensive range of hiking trails invites you to go on voyages of discovery, and you can easily reach the Kaiserburg with its restaurant via the Wöllanernock. The Seiter Hütte is a perfect starting point for everyone looking for an authentic alpine pasture experience and is also located close to the famous **Alpe-Adria-Trail**, which makes it particularly attractive for short stays as well.

Arrival is uncomplicated: you reach the hut via a toll road, whereby our guests benefit from a toll discount. A special tip for aviation enthusiasts: the Wöllanernock is a popular meeting point for glider pilots! Our cattle and horses also spend their holidays on our alpine pasture, and you can watch them from the fenced-in area of the hut. With a bit of luck, you might spot wild animals such as deer and chamois or see the majestic golden eagle soaring in the sky. Marmots are often heard and sometimes even seen – a true nature experience!

**Your home in the mountains:** The renovated, single-story old alpine dairy hut offers everything you need for a cozy stay on approx. 30m². The kitchen is equipped with running cold water, a sink, a traditional wood-burning stove, and a washbasin. In the living area, you will find a seating corner, a comfortable couch, and a wardrobe. A ladder leads to the rustic upper floor, where a double bed and two single beds await you. Eco-friendly solar lighting and solar power provide light and electricity. The fenced yard area around the hut invites you to linger outdoors with two cozy seating areas, a fireplace, and a well. For your nature-connected experience, a compost toilet is available approx. 7 meters away.

Good to know: Bed linen and tea towels are provided; please bring your own hand towels and bath towels.

**Location:** The hut is situated on a picturesque south-east slope of the Wöllaner Nock and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including the imposing Julian Alps.

**Access:** It is 11.5 km from Arriach. The first 5 km are on an asphalt road up to the toll station, followed by an excellently maintained gravel alpine road over 6.5 km. A parking space is located above the hut, from where it is only about a 50-meter walk to the hut.

**Price information:** € 62.- per night plus a one-off final cleaning fee of € 50.- and the local tourist tax for persons aged 16 and over (€ 2.20/person).

**Rental period:** Mid-May to mid-October – experience the mountain world in its full glory!

Animals

On the alpine pasture, our cattle and horses also take a holiday, which can be observed from the fenced cabin area. Wild animals such as deer and chamois pass by the cabin, and with a little luck you can see the golden eagle soaring. Marmots can also be heard time and again, and sometimes even seen.
