Animals
Our business is focused on animal farming. The farm itself spans roughly 6 hectares.
We raise purebred Saoy sheep in beautiful Faistenau on lake Hintersee. Saoy sheep are actually on the “Red List” for endangered species, meaning they are threatened with extinction. Which makes it vitally important to farm the sheep using species-appropriate methods and keep their bloodline pure. The sheep can go out in their pens year-round, assuming that the snow conditions in winter permit.
Saoy sheep are originally from Scotland. They are robust, rarely prone to disease, peaceful, and easy to look after. The sheep are used in the maintenance of grassy areas and parks, and to preserve the species. And if animals give you joy, you are certain to love these creatures which behave, in many ways, like wild animals.
