On our farm, fresh vegetables, herbs, flowers, and medicinal plants, as well as berries and orchard fruit, are grown with great care and passion. Our crops come from open fields as well as from two polytunnels, which allow us to enjoy a long harvest season and particularly aromatic qualities.

We consciously focus on various heirloom and rare varieties. For us, the priority is not the highest yield, but the unmistakable taste, diversity, and quality of our products. Many of our vegetable varieties stand out for their exceptional aromas, colors, and shapes, which are rarely found in shops nowadays.

Fresh herbs and selected medicinal herbs also have a permanent place on our farm. They not only enrich the kitchen, but are also processed by us into special farm products.

With respect for the soil, plants, and nature, we produce food that stands out for its freshness, regionality, and genuine taste. Our customers receive vegetables and herbs straight from the field – seasonal, honest, and cultivated with a lot of manual labor.

For us, sustainability is not just a buzzword, but the foundation of our daily actions. Our farm is managed with the goal of producing high-quality food while protecting natural resources, preserving habitats, and promoting biodiversity.

Our own spring supplies the farm with fresh water. In addition, we generate part of our energy with a solar system and rely on short cycles. In the vegetable garden, a sustainable composting system ensures that valuable nutrients are returned to the soil. In this way, we promote soil fertility naturally and strengthen a living soil ecosystem.

Our market garden is cultivated exclusively with open-pollinated, organic varieties. In this way, we contribute to the preservation of crop diversity and promote robust, flavorful vegetable varieties. As a recognized Arche Noah Diversity Farm, the protection of old and rare varieties is of particular concern to us.

The structural development of the farm also follows sustainable principles. Existing buildings were renovated using ecological timber construction methods, and new buildings were constructed in a resource-saving manner. Natural building materials play an important role. A special example of this is our natural pond, which is fed by spring water and was created naturally with clay.

To promote biodiversity, we have planted orchards, nutrient-poor meadows, and bird hedges as part of a nature conservation project. They provide food, shelter, and nesting opportunities for numerous animal species while enriching the cultural landscape.

Our own forest is managed sustainably and preserved for the long term. In doing so, we pay attention to close-to-nature use that combines ecological, economic, and social aspects.

The protection of native bird species is particularly close to our hearts. Nesting boxes for various small birds as well as special nesting aids for the rare Scops Owl are located throughout the farm grounds. Our farm is part of a species conservation project and thus makes an active contribution to the preservation of endangered species.

For our commitment, we were honored with the Biodiversity Award from BIO AUSTRIA. This recognition confirms our path: to design agriculture in such a way that food production, nature conservation, and the responsible use of resources are in harmony. In this way, we want to preserve a vibrant, diverse, and sustainable farm for future generations.
