About Us
The Schönanger ski hut in the Wildschönau Auffachtal valley is nestled in a beautiful secluded location just a few kilometres from the famous Alpachtal-Wildschönau ski jewel. The neighbouring alpine pastures are enlivened by the alpine dairy in summer. From November to May, the hut is available for the exclusive use of holiday guests.
Directly below the alpine hut is 50 km of well-groomed cross-country ski trails. The hearts of ski tourers will beat faster, as more than 6 routes start right on the doorstep. On a freshly snow-covered winter evening, perhaps under a full moon, you can hike a great tour into the Auffachtal valley on snowshoes. The next day, have fun and enjoy the Alpachtal skiing jewel. Winter sports enthusiasts will never run out of ideas here. Autumn and spring can be an active day with hikes or mountain bike tours around the alpine region.
The cosy part of the day begins with some delicious cooking. The fantastic kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. If you want, you can cook in the old traditional way on the wood cooker. Kitchen utensils, a large fridge for groups, a larder for food, everything on site. The perfect dinner is guaranteed here. The large farmhouse table with its rustic wood panelling is a fun way to end the evening.
The six bedrooms are ideally divided into double beds or two single beds. The modern bathroom with underfloor heating has two showers and a washbasin.
The nearby Alpengasthaus Schönanger (200 m away) is the perfect place to leave the kitchen cold on many a holiday and indulge in regional fare and the farm's own cheese.

Farm products and catering
At the picturesque mountain hut, guests have the opportunity to purchase delicious homemade cheese directly from the producer. Here, the cheese is made from fresh milk from the alpine cows and offers an incomparable flavour experience.
Guests also have the opportunity to gain an insight into the art of cheese-making.
