Schoberalm

At 1,800 meters, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, lies the Schoberalm – a family chalet in the mountains that offers space for shared quality time and individual needs. For many years, it was run as an alpine dairy farm by Anna Fleißner, the grandmother of the family. This history still shapes the atmosphere today. With great love and craftsmanship, the former alpine hut was later transformed into a spacious chalet that preserves its original charm while offering modern comfort.

Up here, every generation finds their place: some set off early on a tour of discovery, while others take it easy and ease into the day. The surrounding mountain world invites you to take a deep breath and let go of everyday life.

In the morning, the day starts at the large wooden table – upon request with a richly filled breakfast basket from the Fleißner family: homemade Reindling, fresh homemade bread, farmhouse butter, and other Carinthian specialties.

For a relaxed start, a starter package is also available: a hearty snack with regional products, complemented by wild game from the hunting grounds around the hut, as well as a cold Carinthian beer. Ideal for easing into the rhythm of the alpine pasture without any stress after arrival.

The chalet offers plenty of space for being together: a warm parlor, a large dining table for game nights, a cozy seating area, and retreats for quiet moments. Outside, the nature adventure begins right on your doorstep – with family-friendly hiking trails in all directions.

Those looking for something special can book a yoga or breathwork session directly on the mountain pasture – a shared experience that often leaves a lasting impression.
