About Us
Welcome to our Schneiderbauer organic farm in Unken!
We are the 4th generation of our family to operate this historic farm. We, Regina and Hannes along with our children Katharina, Andreas, Magdalena and Sebastian, and Grandma Theresia, have a true passion for this wonderful place. In 2020, we built a new farmhouse and created a cozy holiday apartment with all the comforts on the top floor.

If you are looking for absolute peace & quiet in the mountains, we are definitely the right place for you. Our beautifully furbished holiday apartment, which includes wood from our own forests, accommodates up to 6 people and also features a private pine-paneled sauna with infrared heat, an ideal place to escape and unwind completely.
Our farm – in a sunny, stand-alone location at the foot of the natural jewel that is Heutal, is ideal for summer and winter sporting activities as well as cultural excursions into Salzburg City. And thanks to the Saalachtal Sommercard, numerous popular attractions are included for free!
Farmer Hannes will be happy to take you with him up to our very own alpine grazing area, where our cows spend their summer holidays. You are also welcome to watch Regina as she takes care of her chores in the barn and looks after the smaller animals.

About Us
Winter idyll away from mass tourism
Our newly built mountain farm - in a sunny secluded location - at the foot of the natural jewel Heutal in Unken, is the ideal accommodation for your winter holiday.
Enjoy the peace and quiet and feel the nature.
Whether skiing, cross-country skiing or ski touring in the nearby Heutal nature sports area, or a fun toboggan run on the natural toboggan run from the Unkener Hochalm, with us there is something for every winter sports fan. Long queues and crowded slopes are unknown here.
The Almenwelt Lofer, Austria's most beautiful skiing area, is only 12 km away and perfect for a family skiing holiday.
Or would you rather take the kids on a slide down our slopes? Build a snowman or a snow castle, .... there is plenty of winter fun right on the doorstep.
The high-quality furnished holiday flat, with carpentered furniture made of wood from our own forests, offers 110 m² of comfortable space for large families.
For wellness on the farm, we have our own pine sauna with infrared. After an eventful winter holiday day, enjoy the relaxing effect and the pleasant scent of the Swiss stone pine wood.

Animals
The Schneiderbauernhof is run by Regina and Hannes along with their 4 children Katharina, Andreas, Magdalena and Sebastian, and Grandma Theresia, using traditional as well as organic approaches to farming. The 10 dairy cows and young cattle spend summer grazing the high pastures. Meanwhile, our sweet cats, rabbits, hens and pigs all stay right here at the farm.
