The farmhouse is situated in a very quiet, but nonetheless central location, with a direct view of the Gosaukamm mountains at the end of the Janslweg. Perfect for children and people who enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. Our farmhouse is the ideal starting point for walks or excursions or for just relaxing.
Take a dip in Lake Gosausee with its clean, drinking-quality waters in summer. Savour the local cuisine in the staffed mountain cabins in and around Gosau.
Our cosy renovated holiday apartments meet the highest standards. You will be greeted by the the scent of Austrian stone pine the moment you step in.
After an active day in the great outdoors, you can relax in the sauna that we built ourselves with Austrian stone pine and take a nap in the resting room. Take a refreshing dip in the cold-water pool outdoors.

About Us
Our farm Schmiedsipplhof is located in close proximity to the ski lift (have fun skiing)!
Who can build the funniest snowman on our farm Schmiedsipplhof? Set directly in Gosau am Dachstein in the ski resort “Dachstein West” with its 160 km of pistes (Gosau/Zwieselalm/Annaberg/Rußbach), a mere 8 minutes’ walk to the nearest ski lift or the free bus shuttle that takes you to the cable car.
In the village of Gosau, in a central and yet quiet location, our farm is an inviting place for children and their parents, nature and outdoor lovers, sports enthusiasts and all those who are seeking recreation amidst a breathtaking mountain scenery.
Wake up, open your eyes and marvel at the majestic mountain Gosaukamm with its snow-covered peak! We have renovated our holiday apartments to meet the highest standards. The scent of Austrian stone pine is welcoming you as you enter the hallway.
Let’s go! Buckle your ski boots. A great day out skiing is about to start! Snow is glistening, you’re skiing the fluffy powder and the sun is shining on the blue sky. Kids find new friends in the skiing class. Now, skiing is twice as much fun! Advanced skiers and fanatics can put their skills to the test on fun pistes, speedy descents and in snow parks. Hearty soups, creamy fresh pasta with grated cheese (“Kasnockn”) and other local delicacies are served in the countless cosy mountain cabins.
After a day out skiing, it’s time for some après ski. Dance to party music and loosen up your muscles! Afterwards you can relax in our Finnish sauna with cold water pool.
Highlight: You can store your luggage in the lockers at the Hornbahn cable car station.
Alternatively, the Gosautal valley boasts 34 km of trails for classic and 15 km for skate style cross-country skiing for experts and those who’d like to be - absolutely free of charge. Our guests can grab their cross-country skis and start right next to our house.
Move smoothly and gracefully across the snow-covered Gosautal valley, enjoy the peace and quiet, and take a breath of clean crisp air.
Get cosy during a romantic ride in a horse-drawn sleigh. Another great way to see the Gosautal valley. Or enjoy the clean crisp air on a walk through the winter wonderland. You can also go ice skating, curling, snowshoeing and ski touring in our diverse holiday region. We’re happy to tell you more about it.
Guided tours can be booked with “Laserer Alpin” and Jehle Betty (snowshoeing in Gosau).
A toboggan run in the Hintertal valley (a 5 minutes’ drive, also accessible on foot) is free to use. Plus, the Gosautal valley is an idyllic spot for romantic walks.
After an exciting day spent in the great outdoors, you can relax in our sauna built with Austrian stone pine and in the adjacent quiet zone. The outdoor cold water pool makes for a refreshment.

The cows, their calves and the horse spend the summer months up on the mountain pasture (lucky things). We have to check up on the animals on the mountain pasture. If the time is right, you can drive up to the pasture with us and help us look for them.
The cats and donkeys spend the entire year on the farm. They all enjoy being petted!
Our ducks and guinea pigs also call our farm their home all year long.

Welcome to Ferienwohnung Löckersee at the idyllic Schmiedsipplhof in Gosau. Spread across a generous 70 m², this holiday retreat offers room for 1 to 5 people. Enjoy the absolute peace and quiet in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Region Salzkammergut, the stunning views of the Gosaukamm and our on-site wellness area with sauna and refreshing Kneipp basin outdoors.
Ground floor & living area: Your private entrance leads via the inviting terrace directly into the hallway. A practical drying room ensures wet clothing and shoes are quickly ready for your next adventure. The fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired with a 4-ring hob, Nespresso coffee maschine, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The modern bathroom features a shower, WC and hairdryer.
Upper floor: Two cosy bedrooms with comfortable king-size beds and Sat-TV await you here – partly furnished with soothing Zirbe wood, known for promoting a particularly deep and restful sleep. A travel cot for the youngest guests is also available.
Bed linen, towels and bath towels as well as toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, kitchen cleaning products and bin bags are provided free of charge. Underfloor heating ensures a comfortable warmth throughout.
Spring, summer & autumn in Gosau: Start your hikes and mountain bike tours directly from the farm. The picturesque Gosausee lake is just a few minutes away for a swim. Relax in the garden or take a trip up to our Schmiedsipplalm.
Winter at Dachstein West ski resort: The Hornspitzlift is just a 7-minute walk away, the ski bus stops 200 m from the house. The cross-country ski trail runs right past the property and a natural toboggan run as well as romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides complete your winter adventure.

Welcome to Apartment Almheu at Schmiedsipplhof in Gosau, newly built in 2019 and lovingly furnished. This spacious holiday apartment offers room for up to 5 people. Enjoy the peace and quiet in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Region Salzkammergut, the views of the Gosaukamm and our on-site wellness area with Zirbe wood sauna and refreshing Kneipp basin outdoors.
Ground Floor & Living Area: Your private entrance leads through the hallway with shoe dryer and wardrobe directly into the fully equipped kitchen-living area with a cosy seating area and views towards the Gosaukamm. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, oven, steam cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. The bathroom with WC and a bedroom with double bed and travel cot are also located on the ground floor.
Gallery & upper floor: A staircase leads up to the gallery with a cosy reading and snuggle corner and Sat-TV. The second bedroom features a double bed as well as a pull-out sofa bed for 2 additional persons.

Welcome to Ferienwohnung Hehnanest at Schmiedsipplhof in Gosau – ideal for groups of up to 15 people or multiple families. The spacious kitchen-living area with seating corner and generous dining and living room offer plenty of space to enjoy time together. Add to that the views of the Gosaukamm and our on-site wellness area with Zirbe wood sauna and refreshing Kneipp basin outdoors.
Kitchen & living area: The fully equipped kitchen with seating area and generous dining and living room features a 4-ring hob, oven, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster.
Bedrooms: The apartment has 5 double bedrooms with king-size beds, 2 of which have their own bathroom with WC. 3 rooms also feature a comfortable sofa bed. On the first upper floor there is an additional bathroom with WC. A travel cot is also available. All rooms are equipped with Sat-TV and Wi-Fi.
Bed linen, towels and bath towels as well as toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, kitchen cleaning products and bin bags are provided free of charge.
Spring, summer & autumn in Gosau: Start your hikes and mountain bike tours directly from the farm. The picturesque Gosausee lake is just a few minutes away for a swim. Relax in the garden or take a trip up to our Schmiedsipplalm.
Winter at Dachstein West ski resort: The Hornspitzlift is just a 7-minute walk away, the ski bus stops 200 m from the house. The cross-country ski trail runs right past the property and a natural toboggan run as well as romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides complete your winter adventure.

How to reach us Route 1: Munich - A10 Salzburg, Villach-bound - exit at Golling - Scheffau - Abtenau - Rußbach - Gosau
Route 2: A1 Vienna - Linz - Salzburg-bound - exit at Regau - Pinsdorf - Gmunden - Altmünster - Traunkirchen - Ebensee - Bad Ischl - Bad Goisern - Gosau
Once you reach Gosau, keep heading towards Gosausee-Hintertal. After you pass the Hotel Sommerhof, you will see the Zecafé on your left. Turn left here and cross the Gosaubach stream, turn left at the next junction and keep going till the end of the road, where you will reach the Schmiedsipplhof.
