Farm products and catering

Our products from the 24h self-service farm fridge: cheese, 14 different jams and jellies, syrup, honey, schnapps and liqueurs, smoked ham / bacon, apple juice, ... yum, that tastes twice as good!

Our tipp for early birds: Collect your daily brekfast egg directly from the hen´s nests every morning at 8 am with our grandma.

Beef and veal in 5 or 10kg packages are available on request once per month.

Our fresh milk is always free of charge for our guests: Please take the glass jug from your fridge and get the milk yourself from the stable after a short briefing.

The fresh herbs from our garden can be taken for your healthy daily dinner.

In each apartment there is a soda stream to bubble up our mountain spring water directly from the tap. We are happy to change empty gas cartridges at any time.

This is a further contribution to sustainability to avoid plastic bottles. We also sell syrups diluted 1:7: lemon balm, elderflower, homemade cola syrup from the colast bush in our garden, golden balm. Just bubble your own cola or soda.

Animals

Meet our charming farm animals!

At Schloss Saalhof, a true paradise awaits animal lovers of all ages. Come and meet our friendly farm family: 20 happy dairy cows and playful calves, 15 busy chickens, our cuddly farm cat Mietzie, and our fluffy rabbits Strolchi, Punkti, and Flecki. Children and adults alike are warmly invited to help us with daily farm life—whether it’s spreading sweet-smelling hay, feeding the animals, or learning how to milk the cows!

A favorite morning highlight is our daily egg collection at 8:00 AM. Gather your own warm, freshly laid breakfast egg straight from the nests—pure nature that you can taste! From May to October, our young cattle and goats spend their summer on our idyllic, high-altitude alpine pasture (between 1,400 and 2,000 meters). During July and August, we host a weekly guided alpine hike to visit them in their scenic summer home. Be sure to register for this unforgettable mountain adventure right upon your arrival!
