With own playground and use of our toys. Matrei is known as an ideal starting point for lots of romantic alpine and cabin walks, as well as challenging mountain tours - hike directly from the house into the impressive landscape of High Tauern National Park. In winter, things are much quieter here on the mountain farm, the days are shorter, the nights longer.
The nearby ski region of Goldried is ideal for beginners as well as more experienced skiers. It is known for its great ski-runs and for not having waiting times at the lifts.
