Our organic farm Rettenbachgut is situated in a sunny, secluded location above Werfen in the Salzburger Sonnenterrasse region of the Salzburger Land. Surrounded by our own meadows, you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Tennengebirge mountains with the world-famous Eisriesenwelt ice cave, Hohenwerfen Castle, the Hagengebirge, the Hochkönig, and the Hohe Tauern. Thanks to its central location, just about 40 kilometers south of the city of Salzburg, you can reach numerous excursion destinations and ski areas in no time.

Our approximately 900-year-old farm is managed organically, combining living tradition with warm hospitality. For the loving renovation of the historic farmhouse, we were honored by the Salzburg provincial government as early as 1982 with the award “Gutes bäuerliches Bauen” (Good Rural Building). Families can look forward to the large play area with a trampoline, sandbox, swing, playhouse, table tennis, and pedal tractors.
