Directly in front of the house, you can go on beautiful hikes with the whole family or plan cycling tours on the mountain bike trail that runs past us.
Unforgettable secluded location with a view of the Schmittenstein.
On holiday you should be able to really relax - we offer a newly renovated log cabin with modern, cosy furnishings.
Directly in the village, not far away, there are winter and snowshoe hikes or several routes for ski tours.

Welcome to the "Reithütte" in Krispl - Gaißau

Our very quiet log cabin is situated at approx. 820 metres above sea level.
There is nothing around, only the green of our own meadow. Our farm is about 50 metres away.

We run an ox and calf farm and our cattle are on our alpine pasture during the summer months.
Our log cabin offers 4 sleeping places and is equipped with everything your heart desires. The view directly to the Schmittenstein and the quiet surroundings leave nothing to be desired. On the terrace in front of the hut you can enjoy your morning coffee with a view.

In the summer months, hiking is very close to us, because you can try out a wide variety of hiking routes directly from our hut. Mountain bikers and racing cyclists will also find countless marked routes in the surrounding area.
The Wiestal reservoir is just 5 minutes away from us by car, where you can cool off even in hot summer weather.

In winter, the region is ideal for ski tours and snowshoe hikes. The disused Gaissau Hintersee ski area has become a ski touring Eldorado and offers something for everyone.

There are several top restaurants in Krispl-Gaißau, some with award-winning cuisine.

If you feel the need for a cultural experience, the city of Salzburg is just a 25-minute drive away.

We are looking forward to your visit!

Our main focus is on rearing steers and calves. We also look after a dog called Brauni, 4 cats and 6 chickens.

Our log cabin has been newly renovated and offers a bedroom with 2 single beds and a double bedroom, which can be reached via the stairs in the kitchen. The kitchenette is compactly equipped and also offers space for a washing machine. Heating is provided by a pellet stove in the kitchen, which also keeps the hut warm overnight. The pellets are provided by us.
