About Us
The Raufnerhütte is located at 1,666 meters above sea level, nestled in the unique mountain landscape of the Carinthian Nockberge. ⛰️ Surrounded by alpine meadows, gentle peaks, and magnificent views, you will experience nature at its finest.
Our lovingly furnished alpine cabin accommodates up to nine people and combines traditional cabin charm with cozy comfort. An eat-in kitchen, cozy bedrooms, electricity, hot water, and Wi-Fi ensure a pleasant stay. ✨
Numerous hiking trails start right at the doorstep, inviting you to explore the diverse alpine scenery. In winter, ski touring, snowshoeing, and winter hikes are sure to delight. ❄️

About Us
When the first snow transforms the Carinthian Nockberge into a glittering winter landscape, a very special time begins around the Raufnerhütte. Right on the doorstep, untouched snowy landscapes invite you to go ski touring, snowshoeing, and winter hiking. A special highlight is the toboggan run on the Nockalmstraße, located directly by the cabin, which ensures winter fun for the whole family. 🛷
After an eventful winter day, the cozy atmosphere of our alpine cabin awaits you – the perfect place to spend time together and let the day wind down in a relaxed way. Experience winter in its most pristine form – right in the middle of the Carinthian Nockberge. ✨
Farm products and catering
On our family-run farm, high-quality food is produced with great care and passion. Our suckler cows, pigs, and broiler chickens form the basis for many of our farm's own specialties. From rearing to processing, we attach great importance to quality, regionality, and a respectful relationship with animals and nature.
With a lot of love, these are crafted into delicacies such as bacon, salami, house sausages, and other homemade specialties. Many of our farm's own products are refined in the kitchen of Gasthof Raufner and prepared into traditional Carinthian dishes.
Those who would like to take a piece of their holiday back home will find what they are looking for in our “Mitbringsel” (souvenir) fridge at Gasthof Raufner. There you will find our farm's own specialties as well as selected regional products – perfect to enjoy or as a special gift for family and friends.

Arrival is convenient via the A10 Tauern Motorway.
Summer: ☀️
In summer, you can reach the Raufnerhütte by car either via the L19 Innerkremser Straße or via Bundschuh/Thomatal. Alternatively, you can also enjoy the Nockalmstraße from Ebene Reichenau – one of Austria's most beautiful panoramic roads, making the journey here a special experience right from the start.
Winter: ❄️
During the winter months, arrival is via the L19 Innerkremser Straße or via Bundschuh/Thomatal. The Raufnerhütte is then accessible on foot via an easy-to-walk winter trail. To ensure you can enjoy your getaway right from the start, we are happy to take care of transporting your luggage to the cabin. This way, nothing stands in the way of a carefree winter holiday in the Carinthian Nockberge mountains.
📍 Our tip: We will be happy to inform you of the best current access route before your arrival and are always personally available to answer any questions. This allows you to plan your journey in a relaxed manner and enjoy your holiday right from the start.
