Our organic farm is located in the beautiful village of Hohenthurn, with a view of the Julian Alps, the border triangle, and the magnificent Dobratsch.
Discover our idyllic setting together with our four donkeys, who will give you a completely different view of the surroundings. We offer donkey trekking for FREE!
On our farm, our bantam chickens roam freely and our rabbits and cats love to be petted. Our donkeys also love to be brushed. A paradise for children and the whole family!
In our wellness garden, you can relax, have a barbecue, and watch the animals go about their day. Our large orchard is already over 100 years old.

Every year, we harvest delicious fruit from our beautiful orchard and berry garden. We press apple juice and my mother prepares many different liqueurs, which we love to taste together after the donkey hikes.
Our little guests can move around freely in the stable and touch and cuddle the donkeys, rabbits, and cats. Our donkey hikes are a special experience for young and old alike.
We have two senior female donkeys who are 28 and 35 years old, and two young, lively donkey siblings who always bring good cheer to the farm.
Our chickens roam completely free and bring life to the farm. Our chicks are hatched and raised by our hens.
The curious rabbits delight every child, and our cats always accompany us in all our work around the farm and garden.
As an organic farm, it is very important to us to promote biodiversity on our land. Our fields and meadows are nature conservation areas. They are only mowed twice a year and feature a great variety of meadow flowers and insects. We have been awarded the biodiversity plaque by Bio Austria.
Our bantam chickens are free to roam around the farm grounds, searching for insects and tasty grasses as they please. They breed naturally, and we have many mother hens who lovingly care for their chicks.
My great-grandfather planted a magnificent orchard 100 years ago. These old apple and plum varieties are processed by us into liqueurs and juices. The old trees provide nesting sites for many birds and wild bees.

In our apartment building, 4 to 6 people will find plenty of space across approx. 70 m2. This apartment is split over two levels, which are connected by an internal staircase.
The apartment features 1 living room with kitchen, dining area, couch, and satellite TV; 2 bedrooms, 2 showers with WC, as well as a large south-facing loggia.

Our farm is also very easy to reach by public transport. An S-Bahn train runs hourly from Villach to Arnoldstein. From Arnoldstein to Hohenthurn, you can take the bus, which also runs hourly.
The region is next to the border with Italy and Slovenia. Enjoy hikes and excursions in and around Villach or relax on one of the lakes.
