An experience for the whole family
We place great importance on family-friendliness. Experience the authentic everyday life of a farm: from daily stable work to hay harvesting in summer and fruit picking in autumn. And for anyone who wants to lend a hand, there's always the opportunity.
Adventures for the little ones
For our young guests, we offer not only a large playground but also the chance to experience nature and the farm up close. Whether it's riding a pedal tractor, summer toboggan races, playing in the playhouse, or exciting nature explorations – every day here becomes an adventure!

The Central Carinthia region provides the perfect backdrop for your leisure activities: Carinthia's diverse sights invite you to discover them and offer fascinating insights into the region's rich culture and tradition. The gentle hills and vast alpine pastures are ideal for leisurely hikes, while the majestic Karawanken mountains are always in view – a sight you can also enjoy from our balcony. Numerous lakes invite you for a refreshing swim after exciting days.

About Us
Since 1998 we accommodate guests on our farm Ferienhof Pemberger and offer premium quality (4 flowers). Ever since, we deliberately do without “mass tourism”. We run a traditional Austrian small-scale farm with animal husbandry and forestry at an altitude of 1,000 m featuring a sunny location and a spectacular panoramic view. From this spot you can see the town of St. Veit/Glan all while being far away from its noise, hustle and bustle.
We especially care about making sure our farm is family-friendly and yet gives our guests an authentic and real insight into farming. In summer, you can see the hay being brought in, in autumn fruit is harvested and in the barn guests can lend a helping hand at any time of the year.
We have a large playground featuring a children’s play house for our youngest guests. They can make the first experiences on a tractor using the pedal tractors and have a race with our caddies (a type of “summer toboggan”).
Our farm is set in Central Carinthia, a region which boasts an interesting contrasting diversity. There are a lot of lakes for swimming in the immediate vicinity and a public outdoor + indoor pool in St. Veit/Glan. The nearby rolling hills (small mountains) and vast alpine pastures are ideal for leisurely country walks. Should you still fancy a more demanding hike, you can go on a day trip further south towards the Karawanken or simply enjoy looking at this mountain range from the balcony in the holiday home.
However there’s a number of sights you shouldn’t miss out on: lots of castles and palaces (in particular Hochosterwitz Castle which has never been conquered), museums, Europe’s tallest wooden lookout tower, a “small city at Lake Wörthersee”, and much more. There’s a lot to discover.

Enjoy our fresh hay milk! On request, you can prefer the high-quality hay milk directly from our farm or even milk it yourself under expert guidance – an unforgettable experience for the whole family!
In our 100 m² farm garden, a wealth of fresh herbs and vegetables awaits you, which you can use directly in your kitchen. Stroll through the farm and sample the delicious berries from our bushes!
A special highlight is our Italian viticulture project, whose success we hope to celebrate with you soon.
Additionally, we invite you to explore our traditional orchard, which, depending on the season, offers various apple and pear varieties, juicy plums, a walnut tree, and delicious cherries.
Come and enjoy the delicious products directly from the farm!
Have you ever wanted to milk a real cow yourself? Then you’ve found the right place! We’re happy to show you how it’s done. You’re also welcome to join us with other farming tasks in the barn. After all, our dairy cows and their offspring have to be taken care of every day.
Our chicken provide us with eggs for breakfast every day. They are very reliable. Our many cats are happy about every cuddle they can get.
“Maja”, our pony, is looking forward to a snack or two.
Since 2015, we breed Jezersko–Solčava (German: Kärntner Brillenschaf), a native sheep breed. We are the first ones to do so in the municipality of Frauenstein. We deeply care about the preservation of this threatened native species. Recommendation: Every summer, you can look forward to cute lambs.
In charge of safety on our farm: Our good-natured and faithful dachshund “Titus vom Lindnergrund”.
