To give you a glimpse into "beautiful farming", we would love to take you on an organic farm adventure. Milking is on the schedule twice a day, and helping out or just watching is always welcome at any time of year. During the summer months, this takes place on our idyllic Fallhaus alpine pasture.

About Us
Welcome to our organic farm, the “Fallhaus”!
Our Fallhaushof lies at an elevation of 1000 m in the beautiful village of Forstau in Salzburger Land. The quiet setting makes every summer holiday a glorious experience. Away from the hectic outside world and busy traffic, you will be able to spend a peaceful time with us filled with beautiful new experiences.
Our “Fallhaus” eco apartments were built in a wood-framed building, with all of the wood coming from timber harvested in our own forest. All buildings at our farm use woodchip heating, wood which we likewise produce ourselves.
“In the middle of it all, not just on the sidelines” is our motto. Forstau lies in the middle of Sportwelt Amade, which has countless opportunities in store for you, summer and winter.
In addition to dairy cows, young stock and calves, our farm is also home to dwarf goats, ponies, cats, ducks, hens, rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises and pigs.
In summer, we relocate the cattle to our mountain pastures, where you are also invited to spend a day with us milking, hiking, grilling and drinking coffee. During a walk, we tell you all about the surrounding countryside, nature and how we farm the high pastures.
We are also a “Sommercard” partner, giving you all kinds of additional ways to enjoy your holiday with us – automatically included in the price of your stay.
On our playground with trampoline, sand box, playhouse, swings, soccer goal and kid-safe bow & arrow equipment, every child finds the fun and games they long for. Naturally, they’ll also have a chance to jump into the hay and lend a hand with the hay harvest. Collecting eggs and snuggling with the bunnies is also hugely popular, as you might imagine.
Hikers and walkers aren’t disappointed in the slightest either, with a wide selection of hiking opportunities in the immediate area, including a path alongside a stream and info boards about native flora, “Forstis” fitness parcourse and hiking paths on the Eibenberg.
We produce our own butter, cheese, bread and schnapps, where you are welcome to watch and even help us out. In our bread-baking hut, once a week you have the opportunity to create your very own pizza. Right next to the house, we have a small “pick-your-own” herb garden.
In general, we want to share and communicate our ambitions, philosophy and thinking with you, which is why we see YOU as members of our own family during your holiday here.

Welcome to our “Fallhaus”!
In our “Fallhaus”eco apartments (built in 2005), we offer you a carefree, beautiful winter holiday in the heart of the “Amade” ski region.
The small, peaceful village of Forstau, with just 460 permanent residents, is also loved for its family-friendliness. At our local ski area, the Fageralm, the world is still as it should be. With easy blue-rated as well as red pistes, the lifts are able to offer children, in particular, a ski holiday sure to leave them with lasting memories. Several features created just for kids, including the “Animals of Fagerwald” path, the Indian Path, Viking Path and Boardercross, combine insights into nature with pure fun. Because it is such a really nice, small ski area, it never gets too crowded and skiers have lots of room on the piste.
The Fageralm is also popular because the ski huts stay open in the evening whenever there is a full moon, while guided ski tours are offered for unforgettable experiences in the quiet evening hours.
The Fageralm is just five minutes away by car.
On our farm, you have lots of room to build snow castles and the obligatory snowman. Within eyeshot of our house, every winter we prepare our very own floodlit toboggan run for the kids, great for a little healthy competition between siblings and certain to be lots of fun.
And after a day of skiing, you will certainly want to return home and make the most of our wellness area. A Finnish sauna, infrared cabin and comfy relaxation room (also with spa shower) add the finishing touches to a fantastically successful winter’s day.
For more ambitious skiers, the Reiteralm is located close by. Just a ten-minute drive into Styria, you will discover a training mountain used by star world-class skiers and find yourself at the entrance to the four-valley ski area which surrounds Schladming and the “Planai”.
On the Salzburg side of Sportwelt “Amade”, the ski areas of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee (a 40-minute drive) and Flachau (25 minutes) are well worth exploring. These famous World Cup venues are also equipped with state-of-the-art lifts.
The lit-up path along the stream leads right past our house to Forstau, where you might also take a short detour to the Lourdes Chapel for a few moments of quiet contemplation.
