Do you love solitude and the peace and quiet of the mountains? But don’t want to do without your creature comforts? The lovingly renovated dairy (cheese farm) has it all. Here you can live like a king or queen in the high mountain ranges with an open view of the peaks and a panorama of the southern Karawanken mountains. A number of marked trails start right from the cabin’s front door. In three hours you can be at the top of the Hochobir mountain. Not forgetting our homemade Austrian cheese and the delicious products produced here on our farm – come and give them a try!

Location: On a south-facing, flat alpine pasture, with a breath-taking panoramic view of the southern Karawanken mountains.

How to reach us: 12 km from Bad Eisenkappel; asphalt mountain road right to the cabin. Toll road.

Rental period: May to October. Winter on request.

Facilities: A newly renovated former alpine farmhouse and dairy farm. Lovingly restored and stylishly decorated. A large eat-in kitchen with a gas stove, sink (hot water), crockery and kitchen bar. Large sitting area, sofa and open fireplace. Double room and a room with 2 bunk beds. Bathroom with bath. Separate w.c. Up steps to a double room (currently undergoing conversion). Solar powered central heating. Extremely spacious earth cellar for food storage. Covered-in sitting area in front of the cabin. Large, flat meadow in front of the cabin, fenced in. Barbecue area. Numerous marked walking trails start from right outside the front door. From time to time the herdsman Hans lives in the neighbouring building when he comes to tend to the cows on the pasture. And he has fascinating tales to tell. A managed cabin is located around 10 minutes away by car or around 1 hour on foot.
