Welcome to Oberhaidbachhof, your traditional **organic farm** in the heart of the incomparable **natural paradise of the Hohe Tauern National Park**! For generations, we have run our farm with passion and welcomed guests who love the mountains. As a dairy farm, we lovingly care for our approximately 14 Pinzgau cattle, heifers, and calves. Surrounded by fragrant flower meadows, high mountains, and dense forests, you can enjoy absolute peace and quiet here, even though we are only 3 km from the lively town center of Mittersill. Our farm is situated on a small hill in the beautiful Felber Valley.

In 2017, our family painstakingly dismantled the old part of the farmhouse and created a new home. Our cozy apartment, with a breathtaking view of Mittersill's local mountain, the Zwölferkogel (2,435 m), was completely renovated by the owner himself with great attention to detail. You can expect amenities that leave nothing to be desired. For a carefree winter holiday, we also provide our guests with a separate room equipped with a ski boot dryer.

Summer beckons with sunny hours on our large terrace, ideal for cozy barbecues or simply relaxing. For our younger guests, there's a true paradise: a play tower with a slide, a large sandbox, and two swings invite them to romp and play to their heart's content. And best of all: you can visit our lovable animals – the cows, busy chickens, cuddly cats, and our guinea pigs Marie and Luisa – in the barn, watch them at work, feed the small animals, and even help with the egg hunt. As an exclusive benefit for our guests, the popular National Park Summer Card is included in the price. It's your gateway to unlimited experiences and invites you to new adventures every day – from climbing the Krimml Waterfalls and driving the Grossglockner High Alpine Road to mountain railways, outdoor pools, and lakes – many of which are even free! Even in **winter**, our organic farm transforms into a magical paradise.

Winter fun begins right outside the door! Whether it's exhilarating descents on a sled, toboggan, or snow tube on our local mountain, enchanting winter hikes, creative snowman building, cross-country skiing, ice skating, or the surrounding ski slopes and snowboard runs of the Hohe Tauern National Park – here you can fully enjoy your winter vacation and let yourself be captivated. Please bear in mind the mountain conditions and be sure to pack snow chains for your safe journey!

Our cockerel "Kikeriki Lump" is a real early riser. He loves to crow at half past three in the morning and doesn't let our chickens sleep in ;o) But as the saying goes: the early bird catches the worm. For us it's more like: the early bird is rewarded with a breakfast egg. So come with us on an egg hunt and hopefully you'll be rewarded with the best organic free-range egg you've ever eaten. =)

Our farm is home to cows, heifers and calves of the Pinzgau breed with horns! They are milked twice a day and spend the day on the pastures around our farmhouse when the weather is fine.

In summer, they then take a well-deserved holiday on the Rossalm in the Hollersbachtal valley. So it's a little quieter in July and August. But chickens, rabbits and of course cats are always out and about on our farm. The cats Moni and Minky are especially happy to be petted! The pride of our two daughters are their quails! 6 of them can even be stroked and spoil us and our guests with their delicious eggs.

After leaving the roundabout in Mittersill in the direction of Felbertauern, follow the Felbertauern road for approx. 4 km in the direction of Osttirol - Lienz. You will then see the Haidbach inn on the right-hand side. Leave the road to the right here - over a bridge - immediately turn right again and then continue to the inn. Directly after the inn, turn left behind the house and take the gravel road uphill for a short distance. Our farm is located on this hill. The car park is at the back of the house.
