Organic farm – the Achrainer family, Martina, Josef and Jakob, warmly welcomes you!

Enjoy unforgettable days on our tradition-steeped organic farm, which has been in our family since 1609 – 14 generations. Nestled in the idyllic countryside of the Brixental, we offer you two cosy and comfortably furnished apartments in rustic style, with lots of old wood. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the balcony of our local mountain „Hohe Salve" and the surrounding peaks.

Our farm lies in beautiful natural surroundings, surrounded by meadows and forests – and yet only about 3 km from the centre of Hopfgarten. Here you'll find peace and relaxation, while your children have fun on the large playground: pedal tractors, a sandpit, a slide, a huge trampoline and much more invite them to play. And in the stable, the children discover the animals – calves, cows, ducks, hens, cats, rabbits and our dwarf goats are waiting to be petted and fed.

In our lovingly designed apartments you'll find everything for a pleasant stay: separate bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and WC, and a fully equipped kitchen. And be sure to try our hearty homemade products from our organically run farm – „taste nature".

In summer we're happy to take you up to our „Kasalm" mountain pasture, where our dairy cows graze, and show you on a guided tour how butter and cheese are made. In winter, the SkiWelt „Wilder Kaiser – Brixental" awaits you with 81 lifts and 275 km of slopes – one of the largest connected ski areas in Austria, and we live right in the middle of it.

At our farm you'll find an abundance of fresh, homemade products: bread, eggs, organic milk, „Tiroler Speck" (smoked ham), „Kaminwurzn" (smoked sausage), jam, cheese and butter from our mountain pasture, schnapps, apple juice, beef and pork, potatoes, herbs and salad from the garden – and many more delicacies!

In season, at harvest time, there are also vegetables and herbs from our farm garden, plus our own herb salt.

And our drinking water from our own spring – simply the best!

Martina bakes our farmhouse bread herself – a treat you really must try at least once.

It's important to us to live in harmony with nature: seasonal and regional.

Your holiday day begins with a fresh egg, so you start the day well fortified. Your children are welcome to come along and collect the eggs from the nest themselves.

During the day, our hens roam freely – at night they're safe in the barn from the fox.

When the cows have eaten their fill on the pasture in autumn, they return to the barn. Here we milk the fresh milk, which you're welcome to try „straight from the cow" (still warm). Where the milk comes from, you can experience up close with us – and in the end, you can taste the cows' contentment in the products.

During the autumn holidays, the children always love helping to drive the cows into the barn – where the animals then look forward to fresh hay.

There are always one or two „little pigs" here too, for our own supply of meat and speck (smoked ham). We offer you home-raised beef and pork – with our own animals, we know exactly how they were fed. And the calf barn is of course always a popular spot, especially with the little ones.

On our adventure playground and around the farm you'll also meet a few cats, who love to be stroked – when they're not out on a „mouse hunt".

A pair of ducks keeps our farm „snail-free" and waddles busily about all summer long. Especially lovely to watch when young ducklings have just hatched.

And our dwarf goats make every child's heart beat faster: stroking, cuddling, learning little tricks, hugging or simply watching – you just have to love these two. On arrival, the first path usually leads straight to the goat house.

Arrival by car

Take the motorway to the „Wörgl Ost" exit and continue into the Brixental valley. In Hopfgarten, after the railway underpass, carry straight on across the Brixentaler Ache (river). Just after the bridge, turn right towards Wildschönau. Drive past the „Kühle Luft" and, after about 1.5 km in the forest, take the first road on the right (sign „Achrainer 36, Moosen"). After another 600 m you'll arrive at our Moosen-Hof.

Money-saving tip: If you leave the motorway already at Kufstein-Süd and take the main road to Wörgl (approx. 15 km), you'll save the cost of the Austrian motorway vignette (toll sticker).
