About Us
Relax and enjoy nature -
in the Hohe Tauern National Park vacation region!
Have you ever eaten blueberries that you found and picked yourself? You can experience just that with us here; pure nature. Our farm is located on the edge of the forest. You can explore this interesting habitat with your children. Find wild strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Lie down on the grass and watch the clouds while enjoying the fresh forest air. Patient observers may even see a squirrel hopping from branch to branch in the treetops or a wild rabbit disappearing into the bushes.

... Do you know what a White Klara apple tastes like? Did you know that some apple varieties are sweet only after storage time during the winter? We process our fruit into juice, jam, compote and schnapps. You can taste the following fruits on our farm:
Strawberries, red & black currants, gooseberries, apples, pears, plums, cherries and apricots.
Our animals
Dairy farming is the main agricultural branch of our farm. We usually have eight cows that get milked twice a day. There are calves in the barn that will supplement our dairy stock in the future. We produce 30,000 kg of milk a year, which gets delivered to the Pinzgauer dairy in Maishofen.
We got our first sheep in 2008 for our wedding. One sheep alone of course feels lonely and so we immediately got another one. Two brown sheep joined the two white sheep and since we also wanted young, we added a ram.
We also always keep a pig. It is fattened with grains and vegetable waste.
Our dog "Wiff" always watches over the house and yard. He announces each passerby or visitor. He usually stays in the vicinity of our children Sebastian and Valerie. He loves it if someone throws the ball for him to fetch.
The head of our chickens is cock Friedolin. The chickens run around the yard freely. There are rods mounted in their barn on which they sleep (similar to a branch of a tree). The chickens use the nests only to lay eggs. Frequently a hen hides her eggs somewhere in the hayloft.
In the summer we have four ducks to keep the slugs at bay. They have their own "swimming pool" next to their barn. They use it to cool off and wash their feathers.
The black cat, named Ronni, stays in the house. She was raised by Karin with the bottle and is therefore particularly tame.
The bunnies are the favorites of our children. During the winter they live in the barn and in the summer they move into the garden, where they can run in an outdoor enclosure.
