About Us
Experience absolute tranquility in our simple yet cozy cabin not far from Lake Weissensee. Enjoy our own spring water, a parlor with a wood stove, and the sun terrace to relax. In just a few minutes, you can reach our private lake access. The picturesque Lake Weissensee is only a few kilometers away and invites you to swim in summer and ice skate in winter. Whether hiking, biking, or simply escaping everyday life – our forest cabin offers you the ideal retreat. Perfect for nature lovers!
The accommodation has two floors. On the ground floor, there is a living-dining area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The living-dining area consists of a fully equipped kitchen with a wood stove, a dining table, and a sofa. In the adjoining bedroom, there is a bed for two people as well as a cozy reading chair to relax in. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet and a shower. The upper floor consists of another bedroom for 2 people with a separate toilet and is accessible via an external staircase.
On the sun terrace in front of the cabin, there is a spring well, which serves as a refrigerator for food. The cottage has its own water source and electricity from solar energy (12V). Hot water is prepared via a gas boiler.
The use of the private bathhouse, including parking, is included in the price. The historic bathhouse is located directly over the water with a unique view of the lake.

Arrival
By car:
Our cabin is easily accessible by car coming from the Drau Valley. Take the Spittal Ost exit on the A2 motorway and follow the road towards Weißensee-Ostufer (east shore). The drive takes about 30 minutes.
Drive along the Stockenboier Landesstraße until about 2.5 km before Lake Weißensee. There, a road branches off in the direction of Lake Farchtnersee. After about 1.5 km, you will reach a wooden bridge with a wooden gate on the left side – this is where an approx. 800-meter-long gravel road begins, which leads directly to the cabin. There are 2-3 steeper sections to overcome on the access road – with enough momentum, the approach is easily manageable even without a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
Important note:
The east shore of Lake Weißensee can only be reached by car via the Stockenboier Landesstraße. There is no direct road connection to the west shore for motor vehicles!
Public transport:
The bus connections into the Stockenboier Graben end at the Gasthof Wassermann; there is no direct connection to the cabin or to Lake Weißensee.
There are two transport services (on-call taxis) in the region, which represent a cost-effective alternative for guests if booked in advance (at least 60 minutes before departure).
