About Us

During the day in a few minutes in the most attractive outdoor areas of Vorarlberg. In the evening relax comfortably by the fire bowl, at night sleep like a king and queen in the king-size bed and start in the morning with regional delicacies directly from the farm at the table.

This is vacation at the Margreitterhof in the Klostertal in the Arlberg region in Vorarlberg (A).

A good glass of wine and standing together around the fire. That's exactly how we like to discuss our plans for the coming days, face the challenges openly and transparently, and live togetherness.

Farm products and catering

A small, fine direct marketing farm with the main focus on meat and sausage products: Margreitterhof in the Klostertal in Vorarlberg. Among other things, we produce the following products and gift boxes, which are excellent as a souvenir from the vacations:

  • meat products of beef, veal and pork

Seasonally we produce cream cheese balls preserved in oil. Our guests are also welcome to make their own cream cheese at our farm or to be present during the slaughtering and meat processing. Or have you ever had a conversation with a meat sommelier?

In summer, our dairy cows stay on the Gamperdona alpine pasture (Nenzinger Himmel), where alpine and mountain cheese is produced in the alpine dairy, which is then also available directly from our farm from autumn to spring. In summer, fresh yogurt and fresh alpine butter is also available directly from the Nenzinger Himmel at the Margreitterhof.

Animals

At the Margreitterhof lives a cool herd with

  • 40 cattle,
  • the Noriker horses Klarissa, Klaire and Kelly,
  • farm dog "Balu" and farm cat "Schnurri".

We are looking forward to little and big helpers in the daily stable work like feeding the calves, cleaning the horses, milking the cows or feeding the pigs. A ride on the tractor could also be an attraction. We are happy to impart knowledge as a pedagogue in a child-friendly way and as an agricultural master in a professional way about the life and work on the farm.

In the summer months from June to September, when the cows, young animals, calves and horses leave the barn and enjoy their summer retreat on the surrounding alps, ten little piglets are allowed to move into the cattle stalls and spend their summer with us. The adjacent neighbor and uncle hosts 100 chickens, which are already happy about a piece of hard bread.

By the way! A trip to the Alpe Gamperdona and the surrounding alps in the Nenzinger sky is worthwhile. A very personal guided tour is there directly from the senior farmer.

Arrival

Arriving from Germany / Switzerland in Vorarlberg (A) take the A14 (Rheintalautobahn) to Bludenz and follow the S16 (Arlberg Schnellstraße) for about one kilometer. Leave the S16 at the exit Bings. Turn right after about 350 meters left into Oberbingser Dorfstraße and cross the expressway. After 750 meters turn left onto Oberbings / Klostertalerstraße in the direction of Arlberg. After another 750 meters, after the bridge and bus stop, take the second left onto Oberradin. Follow the road straight ahead. After about 100 meters you have reached the Margreitterhof on the right side of the road (Oberradin 10b). 

Coming from Innsbruck on the Arlberg Schnellstraße S16, take the Braz exit and follow the Klostertaler Straße downhill for about 10 minutes (14 kilometers) in the direction of Bludenz-Bings. 500 meters after the railroad crossing / golf course area, take the fourth road up to the right at an old signpost stone. After about 120 meters uphill on Oberradin you have reached the Margreitterhof (Oberradin 10b / a gray wooden house with a red garage door).

By train you can reach us via the larger train stations Bludenz and Langen am Arlberg. From the train station the regional bus line 90 departs hourly to Braz-Oberradin (bus stop 100 meters from the Margreitterhof). We are happy to offer you a transfer from and to the train station or bus stop.

The nearest airports: St. Gallen / Altenrhein (63km), Friedrichshafen (95km) and Innsbruck (127km) and Memmingen (129km).
