Start your day with a well-assorted breakfast buffet! Look forward to various coffee specialties and a fresh pastry in the afternoon. Once a week, we offer a barbecue evening featuring our own meat, colorful salads, sauces, and dessert. Traditional farmer's snack available upon pre-order. Small selection of farm products.

Our Marchlhof is situated at 1,000 metres above sea level in Untertauern, in the Salzburger Sportwelt region of Salzburger Land. Surrounded by our own meadows, forests and mountains, you can enjoy plenty of nature while still being close to everything. The historic town of Radstadt and the popular ski resort of Obertauern are only a few kilometres away. Hiking trails, attractions and ski areas are within easy reach, and the hiking bus stops just 100 metres from the farm.

Stay & enjoy

Choose from spacious double, family and single rooms, all with a balcony. Start your day with our varied breakfast buffet featuring a selection of regional products. In the afternoon, enjoy different coffee specialities and a freshly baked sweet treat. A fully equipped guest kitchen is available at any time, and our outdoor barbecue area behind the house is perfect for preparing your own barbecue. A traditional farmer’s snack platter is also available upon request.

Experience farm life

At the Marchlhof, you can experience everyday farm life up close. Cows and calves, rabbits, cats, goats, ducks, chickens, sheep and our ponies Lola and Kex all call our farm home. During feeding time, young and old guests are welcome to feed our small animals themselves and spend time with them. A special weekly highlight is a ride on our vintage tractor.

Family time on the farm

There is plenty for children to discover. Outside, a playground, go-karts and pedal vehicles provide lots of fun, while our indoor playroom with table football is perfect for rainy days. A favourite is our hay barn, where adventurous children can even spend a night sleeping in the hay. Meanwhile, parents can relax on the terrace overlooking the playground, in the garden or in the sauna.

Summer & winter

In summer, explore the hiking and cycling routes around Untertauern, Radstadt and Obertauern. The hiking bus stops just 100 metres from the farm. In winter, the snow-sure Obertauern ski area and other ski resorts in the Salzburger Sportwelt are only a short drive away. Cross-country skiing and winter hiking offer even more ways to enjoy the snowy landscape.

Water from our own mountain spring flows in the house and courtyard area. The wood for the heating comes from our own forest.

The power supply is provided by our own small hydroelectric power station

Tauernautobahn A10 - take Exit 63 or via Liezen (Phyrnautobahn or Semmering) to Radstadt - in the direction of Obertauern - from the roundabout in Radstadt drive for 8.5 km along the main B99 road to Obertauern - our farm is on the left-hand side, on a hill. Untertauern is approx. 500m further.

Coming from Obertauern drive for approx. 10 km on the main B99 road to Katschberg - after Untertauern we are approx. 500m further up on the right.
