Alpine Cabin Holidays in Salzburger Land – The Leithütte in Hintersee

At 1,320 meters above sea level, surrounded by the impressive Osterhorn mountain range, our Leithütte enjoys a peaceful, secluded location in Hintersee, right in the heart of the Fuschlsee region in Salzburger Land. The rustic self-catering cabin is easily accessible by car via a well-maintained gravel road – just 4 km from the Lämmerbach parking area.

Plenty of Space for Families and Friends

The Leithütte is perfect for those who seek peace, nature and time together. The hut accommodates 4 to 14 people and is lovingly furnished.
Upstairs, you'll find 3 double bedrooms, one of them with a balcony and stunning views of the mountains, plus a large dormitory-style sleeping area for up to 8 people – ideal for families or groups with children.

A spacious, well-equipped kitchen with gas hob, a cozy living area, and a large bathroom with hot shower provide all the comfort you need in the heart of nature. There's also a cellar for cooling drinks, a toilet, and the hut is powered by solar panels.

Pure Nature & Relaxation Outdoors

The large outdoor area offers plenty of space for playing, sunbathing, barbecuing, or simply taking a deep breath and enjoying the silence. Deck chairs, outdoor seating, sun umbrellas, and a gas barbecue are available. Families especially appreciate the open space around the hut – a safe place for children to run, play and have fun.

Your Base for Alpine Adventures

The Leithütte is a great starting point for family hikes and mountain bike tours through the Fuschlsee region. Several traditional alpine huts are close by, serving local specialties and refreshing drinks.
If you prefer to relax, the quiet surroundings offer the perfect atmosphere to disconnect and unwind – far away from busy tourist areas, right in the middle of nature.

Summer Holidays with a View

The hut is available to rent from May to October – perfect for a summer retreat in the Alps. Great excursion destinations are just a short drive away, such as Lake Fuschl (22 km), the natural beach at Hintersee (12 km), or the imperial town of Bad Ischl (35 km).

Good to Know

Please bring your own towels, sleeping bags for the dormitory, and flashlights. Access to the hut is no problem via the forest road – and the location at 1,320 m above sea level makes this a real place of power and peace.
